What Year Is It? The president has just won a landslide victory. He is looking forward to an aggressive second term agenda. Suddenly scandal strikes. What year is it -- 1973 or 2013? A lot of folks in Washington say it feels like 1973 all over again. It is astonishing how quickly fortunes can change. The front page of today's Boston Herald reads: "OBAMAGATE." Another headline declares: "Scandals Invoke Comparison To Nixon." For the past two days MSNBC's "Moring Joe" has even trotted out Watergate reporter Carl Bernstein. |

BREAKING NEWS: GOSNELL GUILTY Abortionist Kermit Gosnell has been found guilty on three first-degree murder counts for infanticide. He was also convicted on scores of other charges, including involuntary manslaughter and conspiracy. Benghazi: What's Next? It's a busy news day in Washington with a lot to digest. The Obama Administration is on its heels -- defending itself against two scandals with tremendous implications and each one striking at the administration's credibility. |

But watching three grown men -- a Marine, a security expert and a career Foreign Service officer -- moved to tears by this gross injustice has evidently moved some in Big Media to care enough to start asking questions. |

What's Next On Benghazi? Yesterday's Benghazi hearing was extraordinary, but you wouldn't know it if you depended on Big Media. Major networks like CNN and MSNBC did not cover yesterday's whistle-blower testimony on the Benghazi scandal. Instead they chose to follow Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus, who were held captive in an Ohio home for ten years, as they returned to their families. |

The GOP & The Hispanic Vote If you read only one item in today's report, I hope this is it. The conventional wisdom among Beltway elites is that Mitt Romney lost the 2012 election in part because Barack Obama won a landslide among Hispanic voters. So, as the logic goes, the GOP must now surrender on immigration reform and border security in order to attract more Hispanic votes to remain competitive in future elections. |
