Crushing The American Dream, Cook's Contempt, Left-wing Hate Crime

Crushing The American Dream

In all the huge headlines of recent days, an event took place in Indianapolis that went largely unnoticed here in Washington, D.C., and in many other places. But it was a big deal to the 2,100 men and women and their families who were directly affected.

A Supreme Battle, The Left's Spin, Your Vote

A Supreme Battle

Over the course of the past year, whenever people asked who would be the next president, I often said it was hard to answer that question because the election would be determined by headlines we haven't yet seen. We know, for example, that the headlines from the Paris and San Bernardino attacks significantly impacted the Republican presidential primary.

The shocking death of Justice Antonin Scalia will change the presidential race yet again. It sets off what promises to be a brutal confrontation between Barack Obama and Senate Republicans.

Mystery In Columbus

Police in Columbus, Ohio, need some help. Here's the situation:

Yesterday a man walked into a restaurant named Nazareth, owned by an Israeli Christian. The man asked to speak to the owner, who wasn't there, so he left.

About 30 minutes later, he came back, only this time he had a machete. He began attacking the customers, systematically working his way through the restaurant.

Christie & Fiorina Out, What Do You Think?, Officer Down, Supremes Stop Obama Overreach

Christie & Fiorina Out

The winnowing process continues. The Republican primary race that began with more than a dozen credible candidates is now down to just a handful of serious contenders.

Yesterday, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie suspended his campaign. Christie's no nonsense style was an appealing quality, but the blunt spoken former prosecutor got trumped by Donald Trump. Christie bet it all on a strong showing in New Hampshire and he came up short.

Primary Results: Republicans, Primary Results: Democrats, Looking Ahead

Primary Results: Republicans

Here are the results of the New Hampshire primary:

Donald Trump 35%
John Kasich 16%
Ted Cruz 12%
Jeb Bush 11%
Marco Rubio 10.5%
Chris Christie 8%
Carly Fiorina 4%
Ben Carson 2%

With few exceptions, the results essentially mirrored the polls. Trump has consistently led the New Hampshire polls since July. Recent polls indicating a surge for Ohio Governor John Kasich were spot on. Here's my analysis:

Obama's Budget: Blueprint For Bankruptcy

President Obama submitted his final budget to Congress today. Speaking to reporters at the White House, Obama declared, "The budget that we are releasing today reflects my priorities." That's certainly a true statement.

It is a jaw-dropping $4.1 trillion manifesto of higher taxes, more spending and bigger government. It is a blueprint for national bankruptcy. Just consider this analysis from the Associated Press:

NARAL vs. Doritos?, Gaga's Greatest Hit, GOP Fireworks

NARAL vs. Doritos?

The radical pro-abortion group NARAL is, once again, doing its best to prove that the left denies the basic science of biology. Doritos aired an amusing Super Bowl ad showing a husband eating the famous nacho chips during his wife's ultrasound.

Frustrated with her husband's inattentiveness, she has the expected reaction. But when her husband starts waving a chip around, the baby in utero starts following it. She wants one! Watch the ad here.

Border Security Is National Security, Obama Wants To Raise Your Taxes, Failing Our Children; Failing America

Border Security Is National Security

It is a phrase I have repeated over and over again during recent national debates about immigration reform: "Border security is national security." There is nothing racist or bigoted about that statement. It is simply common sense. And it is a lesson Europe is learning the hard way.

Obama's Muddled Message, Obama's Contradiction, Stop Blaming Us!, President Bloomberg?

Obama's Muddled Message

I read the president's speech to the Islamic Society of Baltimore and found that it was a very muddled message. Below are a few quotes from the speech followed by my response.

BARACK OBAMA: But on top of that, as Muslim Americans, you also have another concern -- and that is your entire community so often is targeted or blamed for the violent acts of the very few.

Obama's Alternate Reality, What The President Should Say, Observations From Iowa

Obama's Alternate Reality

In the wake of the Paris and San Bernardino attacks -- terrorist atrocities carried out by radical Islamist supremacists -- President Obama is visiting a synagogue today to reassure Americans concerned about rising anti-Semitism.

No, wait. . . that's not right.

Sorry, folks, he's going to a church to express his outrage over the unprecedented level of Christian persecution taking place in the world today.

Oops, wrong again.
