TRUTH Social

Yesterday President Donald Trump announced the creation of TRUTH Social. As the name implies, it's a new social media platform that will take on the tyranny of Big Tech and provide a voice to millions of Americans. TRUTH Social is expected to launch nationwide in early 2022.

TRUTH Social is desperately needed, especially given how Big Tech has misinformed the American people, exploited our children, censored real news, silenced legitimate debate and interfered in our elections. 

It's deeply unsettling how Chinese communists, the Taliban and Iranian mullahs have access to our social media sites, but the former president is treated like an enemy and a terrorist, as are many conservative voices.  This is wrong!  I am glad to see President Trump is defending free speech for all Americans.

Time For Honesty

When I served on the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom, we looked for ways countries might disadvantage particular ethnic and religious groups that could make their elections suspect, if not invalid.

Of course, many Americans think the 2020 election was highly suspect. Recently, one British columnist who is no Trump fan, looked at the evidence and concluded, "If that election had taken place in any other country, it would have been called 'unfree.'"

It's not a matter of fraudulent ballots or overseas hacking. The left conspired to rig the election. They bragged about it in a Time column earlier this year. 

Not only did left-wing politicians and bureaucrats change election laws in ways that only benefited one side, the left also controlled the news and social media in ways that only benefitted one side.

Mark Zuckerberg did much more than just manipulate online content. He spent hundreds of millions of dollars to influence local election offices in ways that only benefitted one side.

This is what every state legislator concerned about election integrity should be talking about as we approach the 2022 elections.  It's time for some honesty.

We had a president who was looking out for working-class Americans, taking on communist China, securing our borders and standing up for religious liberty and the sanctity of life. But the globalist gang could not tolerate it. They used their wealth and power to elect a man who barely campaigned, and who many believe is barely there.

Left-wing Anti-Semitism

Dozens of radical, left-wing organizations will be protesting this weekend in Washington, D.C. They're protesting yesterday's defeat of the latest attempt by Senate Democrats to nationalize all election laws. 

But one of the more extreme environmental groups, the Washington, D.C., chapter of the Sunrise Movement, is refusing to participate in the protest. Why? Because Jews will be at the protest. Oh, the horror!

Sunrise DC issued a statement saying it could not participate in the Freedom to Vote rally "due to the participation of a number of Zionist organizations." The group added: 

"We will continue to fight for statehood for DC in the United States and for the liberation of Palestine. Given our commitment to racial justice, self-governance, and indigenous sovereignty, we oppose Zionism and any state that enforces its ideology."

Seriously, folks, you can't make this up. These aren't right-wing, pro-Likud Jewish groups going to the protest, but liberal, progressive American Jewish groups that would agree with the Sunrise Movement on virtually every issue. 

But the DC Sunrise Movement apparently won't participate in any left-wing protest unless it is "Judenrein" or "Jew free" as the Nazis used to say.

Let's be clear about this: Anti-Zionism IS anti-Semitism.

Groups that oppose Zionism oppose Israel's right to exist as a Jewish state. It's that simple. There are more than 50 nations in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Does Sunrise DC insist that any of those nations are not allowed to be Islamic? Of course not. 

So why does Sunrise DC only have a problem with the world's only Jewish state? That's anti-Semitism.

But the point is not that Sunrise DC is crazy, which it is. The real point is it that this kind of blatant anti-Semitism is increasingly the default position of the left. We saw it in the Women's March. We've seen it in various "gay pride" groups. We're seeing it more and more among progressive politicians.

Will Joe Biden, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Bernie Sanders and AOC condemn Sunrise DC today? I'm not holding my breath.

Left-wing Priorities

Not satisfied with allies and enemies laughing at America as we're stuck in a four-year run of "Weekend At Bernie's," our State Department continues to make a laughing stock out of us.

Untold numbers of Americans are still stranded in Afghanistan. But the administration always gives the same number when asked how many are still there: About a 100. (Here, here and here.)  It's like Afghanistan is a clown car. No matter how many Americans we bring out, there's about 100 still there. 

On the bright side, we're going to let them choose their pronouns no matter where they are. Yes, as communist China is firing off hypersonic missiles and Iran is developing nuclear weapons, our State Department is celebrating "International Pronoun Day."

Once again, this proves that it's the left, not the right, that wants a culture war, and they're all in 24/7. In much of the world where we're trying to win hearts and minds, where we're fighting Islamists in Africa and Asia, picking your pronouns isn't helpful. 

Perhaps it's their confusion about gender that's leading so many leftists to treat women so poorly. They abandoned the women of Afghanistan, and they're doing business with the Taliban. 

There's so much domestic abuse on our military bases that we're deploying "gender advisors." Here's a thought: Maybe we shouldn't bring people into the country who think it's okay to beat their wives. A little "vetting," anyone?

Meanwhile, women's sports are increasingly dominated by biological men. And in northern Virginia, the public schools abandoned our daughters to boys who claim to be girls who then assault actual girls. 

In fact, there seems to be a real debate as to whether we can even use the word "women" anymore. Even very liberal women like J.K. Rowling, Martina Navratilova and Margaret Atwood are under fire from the left for daring to defend women.
