Still No Collusion
For nearly two years, former FBI Director Robert Mueller and a team of Hillary Clinton-supporting lawyers investigated President Trump for collusion with Russia. They found nothing. We learned that fact on Sunday, March 24th, when Attorney General William Barr released a brief summary of Mueller's final report.
The attorney general made the report public on April 18th. There was still no evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia because no collusion took place.
The attorney general testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee on May 1st. There was still no collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.
On May 29th, Robert Mueller made a public statement before reporters announcing that his office was closing and he was returning to private life. And, by the way, there was still no collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.
But the unhinged, anti-Trump left just refuses to move on.
Today they dragged Robert Mueller before two House committees and practically begged him to change his mind. He did not.
In his opening statement, Mueller reiterated that his investigation "did not establish that members of the Trump campaign conspired with the Russian government in its election interference activities."
So congressional liberals focused on obstruction of justice. Obstruction of what? This entire multi-year, multi-million dollar investigation was a tremendous injustice that did Putin's bidding by dividing our country.
In their questioning, Reps. John Ratcliffe, Jim Jordan, Louie Gohmert and Matt Gaetz zeroed in on the gross injustice and inadequacies of the Mueller investigation.
Again, Mueller found no underlying crime -- no collusion or conspiracy with Russia -- so what was the point of the obstruction investigation? And what's the point of today's hearings?
Well, the point is simply this: The left and their deep state allies are still desperately trying to overturn the results of the 2016 election. They failed to prevent Trump's election, so now they are trying to delegitimize and destroy his presidency.
Some Observations. . .
This morning's testimony did not go well for the House Impeachment Caucus. NBC News reports that Mueller "deflected, declined or deferred" questions more than 120 times.
Many observers were shocked by his performance. "DAZED AND CONFUSED" was the banner headline on the Drudge Report. Others described Mueller as "frail" and "slow and sluggish."
Even Obama strategist David Axelrod conceded in several tweets that Mueller did "not appear as sharp" as he once was, adding, "This is very, very painful."
I think Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace summed it up best when he said:
"I think this has been a disaster for the Democrats, and I think it's been a disaster for the reputation of Robert Mueller. . . [He] doesn't seem to know things that are in the report. . . I think it does raise questions about the degree to which he actually was in charge of . . . the investigation, because he doesn't seem in charge of what the report actually says."

Fighting Anti-Semitism
I was on Capitol Hill this morning, just down the hall from the Mueller hearing, in my capacity as a commissioner on the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF). I led a Commission seminar on the growing threat of anti-Semitism in the United States and around the world.
Other speakers included: Elan Carr, the Trump Administration's special envoy to monitor and combat anti-Semitism, Rep. Nita Lowey (D-NY), chair of the Bipartisan Task Force for Combating Anti-Semitism, Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY), Rabbi David Saperstein, former Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom and Tad Stahnke of United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
It's sad that an event like this even had to be held. But it was necessary because the ancient evil of anti-Semitism is on the rise once again. The perpetrators come from around the globe and across the political spectrum.
Here in the United States, we've seen two mass shootings at synagogues in the last two years. We have seen right-wing anti-Semitism in Charlottesville and left-wing anti-Semitism in the progressive movement and even in the halls of Congress.
But there may be no more hostile place for American Jews than a college campus, where left-wing professors spew anti-Semitism disguised as anti-Zionism and anti-Semitic incidents are surging as the anti-Israel boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) movement takes root. (See next item.)
In Europe, there is a toxic brew of ethnic supremacists in places like Germany and left-wing progressives like those in the British Labour Party, combined with a massive infusion of anti-Semitism that has been imported from the Islamic word.
As former British Prime Minister Tony Blair once said, "Our struggle is not simply against violence but against the ideology that begets the violence of Islamist extremism." And at the root of that ideology is anti-Semitism.
That is why so many in the Muslim world despise Israel, and it is why Iran's leaders deny that the first Holocaust happened even as they promise to deliver a second one. The Islamic regime routinely threatens to erase Israel from the map, while it funds terrorism against innocent Israelis through proxies like Hamas and Hezbollah.
House Denounces BDS
I am pleased to report that the House of Representatives overwhelmingly approved a resolution denouncing the BDS movement for its "efforts to delegitimize the State of Israel." The resolution passed 398-to-17. See how your representative voted here.
Supporters of BDS, such as Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), opposed the resolution as an attack on free speech. That's nonsense. The BDS movement is blatantly anti-Semitic and anti-Israel.
As the resolution noted, Omar Barghouti, the founder of the BDS movement, has publicly stated:
"We oppose a Jewish state in any part of Palestine. No Palestinian, rational Palestinian, not a sell-out Palestinian, will ever accept a Jewish state in Palestine."
That is what the BDS movement is all about -- delegitimizing and destroying Israel, the only Jewish state in the world.
