A Rigged Result
As I write this, things in Judge Juan Merchan’s courtroom do not look good. His instructions to the jury were clearly biased in favor of the prosecution.
Donald Trump said yesterday that Mother Teresa could not survive this rigged process. It’s a good point, and the left hated Mother Teresa, too.
Many legal analysts seem to believe that the jury’s questions suggest they are buying into the prosecution’s case. My good friend Mark Levin doesn’t seem very optimistic. He said Trump’s lawyers should be ready to immediately appeal to the Supreme Court.
Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz warned that Judge Merchan might go so far as to remove and replace any juror who resists convicting Trump.
If Trump is found guilty, he will correctly say that nothing like this has ever been done before. He has been the most investigated person in America over the last eight years.
But the important thing to understand is that the neo-Marxist left isn’t doing it just to Donald Trump – they are doing it to us.
Pro-life activists are being aggressively prosecuted and locked up for years. Conservative parents and churches have been spied on. The Biden Justice Department is still hunting down anyone who got near the Capitol Building on January 6th.
Donald Trump had a very blessed life until he decided to take on the Deep State, the endless no-win wars, the globalist sellout of the American worker, and the “fundamental transformation” of our country.
He only got himself into trouble when he said, “I see what the left is doing. I see how weak the Republicans are. I’m going to do something about it!”
That’s why he’s facing jail time. The left would celebrate if he died there. They would be happy if someone killed him before he even got there.
Alito Stands Firm
Justice Samuel Alito made it official. He will not recuse himself from any upcoming cases.
He will not surrender to the absurd demands of the neo-Marxist left because his wife flew a flag embraced by George Washington outside his beach house. He will not neglect his constitutional obligation as a justice because she also flew the American flag upside down outside of their home.
The upside-down American flag is a universal sign of distress. Who doesn’t feel distress about what’s being done to our country? It turns out that a record number of Americans -- 73% -- feel our country is “out of control.”
Open borders. Skyrocketing prices. Rising anti-Semitism. Mass gender confusion. Things are definitely out of control!
Senator Chuck Schumer infamously threatened Justices Gorsuch and Kavanaugh. Now Senators Durbin and Whitehouse are going after Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito. (I am pleased to report that Chief Justice John Roberts has refused to meet with Durbin and Whitehouse.)
The left didn’t have any issues with Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Far from merely flying flags, she publicly attacked Donald Trump during the 2016 campaign and never recused herself from any related cases.
In recent decades, there have been a number of Republican appointments to the Supreme Court, and the left never demanded that they recuse themselves. Not Sandra Day O’Connor. Not David Souter. Not Anthony Kennedy.
For years, Republican presidents haphazardly nominated people for the high court who looked like conservatives but regularly ceded ground and “evolved” once they were confirmed to the court.
By the way, Samuel Alito nearly wasn’t on the Supreme Court. George W. Bush wanted to put his personal lawyer, Harriet Miers, on the court.
But some of us in the conservative movement had serious concerns about her qualifications and her total lack of a record. So, in spite of tremendous pressure from the GOP establishment, we stood up and stopped her nomination.
Only then did Bush worry about his conservative base and nominate Samuel Alito. And the rest is history.
Border Security Is National Security
We just got more bad news from the Border Patrol. In the last eight months, more than 52,000 special interest aliens have entered the United States.
A special interest alien is an illegal alien who came in with “red flags” in their background that are often associated with terrorism or other potential national security threats.
As a point of comparison, approximately 36,500 special interest aliens a year entered the country during the two-year period from October 2021 to October 2023. But more than twice as many -- 78,000 -- are on track to come in this year.
But wait. . . There’s more bad news.
There are another 184,000 known “gotaways” in the past eight months, bringing the total number of known gotaways to 1,850,000 since Joe Biden took office.
Many illegal aliens are voluntarily surrendering to our Border Patrol agents because they know nothing is going to happen to them. In fact, we’re helping to relocate them all over the country.
So, you have to assume a significant percentage of those illegal aliens who did not want to be apprehended are up to no good. Even ten percent would be a huge number.
Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin recently highlighted just how wide open and insecure our borders really are.
He encountered dozens of illegal aliens along the border who were angry because they had been waiting for hours for overworked Border Patrol agents to apprehend them. They wanted to get on Biden’s migrant processing conveyor belt, with free phones, free meals, free travel, free health care, etc.
But a group of Colombians got tired of waiting and called Lyft!
Nothing To See Here
A New York City cab driver attempted to run over Jewish students yesterday. He was yelling, “I’m gonna kill all the Jews!” The suspect is a Pakistani immigrant.
Thankfully, no one was seriously injured. Sadly, there is virtually no coverage of this outrageous anti-Semitic attack in the major media.
But here’s another reminder about why the differences in our country are irreconcilable, no matter how depressed that fact makes us. In a war between Hamas and Israel, the left chose Hamas.

The Threat To Freedom
Jill Biden went on “The View” yesterday and made very dire predictions of what might happen if Donald Trump wins this November. She said, “We will lose all of our rights.”
Really, “Dr.” Biden?
The non-existent “right” to an abortion was removed when the Supreme Court corrected the mistake of Roe v. Wade. The court ruled that there never was a right to abortion in the Constitution.
What other freedoms is Jill Biden worried about? Our rights are listed in the Bill of Rights.
And it is the leftist cabal that runs virtually every significant institution that is trying to take away the right to free speech, the right to assemble, the right to worship freely, and our Second Amendment rights.
The only “right” Donald Trump is threatening is the left’s alleged “right” to fundamentally transform our country.
