The Left's Cultural Genocide

A tech reporter for one of the cable networks was recently asked how people can tell if they're on an extremist website that can't be trusted. He answered: "One word to look out for, a key word, is 'patriot.'" 

What? A patriot is someone who loves their country. Millions of Americans consider themselves patriots. They're the people who fought and died for us. But this isn't a one-off. 

Some government agencies, including the Pentagon, are identifying so-called "extremists" by whether they frequently discuss the Constitution. You know, the owner's manual of our country. 

I laughed, but I almost cried the other day, when I read a piece by a liberal New York Times editor. She dared to venture out into the hinterlands of Long Island, New York, and was traumatized when she saw so many "disturbing" American flags on pickup trucks. 

A U.S. Olympic athlete said that our national anthem wasn't her national anthem. The overwhelming majority of the U.S. Women's Soccer team took a knee yesterday during our national anthem. In my opinion, they shouldn't call themselves a U.S. team if they disrespect our flag.

Charlottesville, Virginia, quietly removed a statue of Robert E. Lee recently. But they didn't stop there. They also removed statues of the famous explorers Lewis and Clark, and their Native American interpreter Sacagawea. 

Some of us will laugh. But this is all deadly serious. 

What is happening to our country is a cultural genocide. Leftist elites are attacking and tearing down every symbol of the American Republic. Why? Because, as properly understood, the American Republic is an impediment to the Marxist state they're trying to force on us.

Speaking Of Marxism. . .

Virtually all normal Americans seeing the turmoil in Cuba know exactly what's going on there. Cubans are demonstrating against the communist government because they want freedom.

The progressive left said the problems in Cuba aren't caused by socialism and Marxism, but are the result of American sanctions. (Here, here and here.) The Biden White House initially refused to condemn socialism and said the demonstrations were about COVID. 

A new Rasmussen poll shows the American people aren't buying the left's spin. Fifty-nine percent said Cubans were protesting communism. Twenty percent said the discontent was due to American sanctions. Rasmussen doesn't put it this way, but apparently the remaining 21% didn't know there was something going on in Cuba. 

What really got my attention was that 67% of Republicans said it was a revolt against communism, as did 61% of Independents. But only 49% of Democrats said the protests had anything to do with communism. 

That's why the White House had such a hard time clearly condemning communism and supporting freedom for the Cuban people. And it probably had something to do with why the administration was so quick to tell Cubans not to come to the United States. The last thing the neo-Marxists in the progressive movement want is a bunch of people who hate communism coming here.

Biden's Big Lie

President Biden did a CNN town hall event last night, and said a lot of things I could comment on. But I'll limit myself to what was perhaps his biggest lie of the evening. 

Don Lemon asked Biden, "How do you respond to Republicans who say you and your party are anti-police?" Biden said, "They're lying." 

I want to reiterate the truth again so you'll be ready to respond when your liberal family member or confused friend at church or work repeats Biden's outrageous lie.

Multiple cities -- Austin, Baltimore, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York, Philadelphia, Portland, St. Louis, Seattle, Washington, D.C., and more -- urged on by virtually the entire left-wing media and political complex including Joe Biden, made drastic cuts to police budgets in the name of social justice. No one can deny this. 

Every one of those cities is politically dominated by the left. Most haven't had conservative mayors or city councils in decades.

The defunding of the police is solely, only, totally and entirely pushed by powerful urban progressive organizations. It's cheerleaders in Congress include liberal darlings like AOC, Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib. But it's worse than that.

In addition to police officers being laid off, fired or handcuffed in their duties, there has been a constant campaign to demonize and demoralize police officers. They are routinely accused of being cogs in a "systemically racist" criminal justice system. 

They have been called "pigs," "fascists," "killers," "KKK sympathizers," "storm troopers," etc. Some leftists have threatened to kill them. Their children have been harassed at schools. Their homes have been vandalized. 

All of this is being done by the increasingly powerful left-wing juggernaut, including the left-wing media, left-wing school teachers and left-wing politicians in our big cities. 

In short, it's all the people who worked together to elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Joe Biden knows this. Don Lemon knows this. They are the ones lying to you. And the politicians defunding the police are a bunch of hypocrites, too.

Quid Pro Joe?

President Joe Biden, that famous hater of American energy pipelines, is set to formally end U.S. opposition to a natural gas pipeline from Russia to Germany. The pipeline is opposed by Congress and our allies in Poland and Ukraine. But Biden is intent on punishing the American energy industry while rewarding Putin and the Russian energy industry. 

Of course, we'll never know for certain due to the Biden Administration's lack of transparency, but I wouldn't be surprised if some Russian oligarch buys one of Hunter Biden's $500,000 paintings to say "Thank you" for Biden's gift to Putin.

It Wasn't An Error

Yesterday we told you about the radical critical race theory guide from the Abolitionist Teaching Network (ATN) that the Biden Administration sent out to all 13,000 U.S. school districts. Administration spokesmen brushed off the controversy, claiming it was an "error." That's another lie. It wasn't an error.

It turns out that two Biden appointees at the Department of Education have ties to ATN: Deputy Education Secretary Cindy Marten and Assistant Secretary for Policy Development Donna Harris-Aikens. They aren't exactly low-level staffers who just didn't know any better.

Marten paid ATN's co-founder, Professor Bettina Love, $11,000 for a speaking event when she ran the San Diego school system. Love also spoke last year to the National Education Association, where Harris-Aikens previously served as a senior director.

Brace yourselves. There's going to be a lot more "errors" in the weeks and months ahead as these extremists push radical Marxist ideology in our schools.

Really Sour Cream

Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, always looking for some left-wing so-called "human rights" cause to get behind, surveyed the world and after much huffing and puffing it decided to boycott – wait for it – Israel. Not communist China. Not Syria. Not Iran. Not Russia. 

If you needed more evidence of the growing anti-Semitism and anti-Israel sentiment on the political left, there it is. 

You don't have to get into the intricacies of foreign policy to understand this. The only thing you need to know to understand that this is motivated by something other than human rights is that Israel is the most decent, most tolerant, most democratic, most multi-cultural country in the entire Middle East. 

So, if you're Ben & Jerry's you need to do a "bigot check" because the only thing that could lead you to join the boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel is if you're anti-Semitic and won't admit it. 

Pro-Israel store owners are throwing Ben & Jerry's products out of their stores. I urge you to throw out that container of Ben & Jerry's in your freezer. There are plenty of other ways to clog your arteries without supporting anti-Semitism.
