Draining The Swamp

 

President Donald Trump ran on a promise to “drain the Swamp” and he’s doing it. He just ordered federal departments to fire “underperforming” bureaucrats currently in employment probation periods.

 

More than 200,000 bureaucrats are “new hires” still in a one-to-two-year probationary period. As such, they do not have the protections that other government bureaucrats have that make it extremely difficult to fire them.

 

A spokesman for the Office of Personnel Management said:

 

“The probationary period is a continuation of the job application process, not an entitlement for permanent employment. Agencies are taking independent action in light of the recent hiring freeze and in support of the President’s broader efforts to restructure and streamline the federal government to better serve the American people at the highest possible standard.”

 

Here are two facts to keep in mind.

 

• Over the past four years, Joe Biden ballooned the bureaucratic bloat to its biggest size in 30 years. Walmart is the largest corporate employer in the country with 2.1 million employees. The federal government has 2.4 million civilian employees. And you’re paying for all of those bureaucrats.

 

• Under Biden, the national debt was growing by $1 trillion every 100 days. Interest payments on the national debt now exceed $1 trillion a year, more than the defense budget.

 

“Sustainability” is a favorite buzzword on the left. Well, this level of spending is simply unsustainable. Something has to change.

 

Donald Trump and Elon Musk are bringing desperately needed change to Washington by draining the Swamp!

 

 

 

Stop Stupid Spending

 

Here’s the latest example of how much left-wing lunacy has become embedded in our government.

 

EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin just discovered a witch’s brew of Hamas extremism and climate change extremism. He canceled a $50 million grant that the Biden EPA had planned to give to the Climate Justice Alliance (CJA) so it could hand out the money to other left-wing groups.

 

Like almost every “climate change” organization, CJA is infested with neo-Marxists. They believe we must embrace socialism in order to fight climate change. But they also have other strange beliefs.

 

According to CJA, “Free Palestine is a climate justice issue. The path to climate justice travels through a free Palestine.” So, not only does America have to cease being America, but Israel must cease to exist entirely in order to fight climate change.

 

This is how the Biden EPA was spending your tax dollars – promoting Hamas in Gaza at the expense of our ally Israel.

 

It’s a disgusting example of how left-wing bureaucrats are using our money to fund their favorite left-wing causes. It’s also another disturbing example of how antisemitism permeates the progressive movement.

 

For years, conservatives have marveled at how well-funded the left was. It wasn’t all George Soros. Much of it was OUR OWN MONEY!

 

That is a very real threat to our “democracy.”

 

If we want to reclaim our country and make America great again, we must defund the left and stop the stupid spending!

 

 

 

Trump Wants Peace

 

Just one month into his term, President Trump is tackling one of the most difficult issues he faces: the Ukraine-Russian war.

 

He has decided to do a full-court press on reaching a peace deal. Vice President Vance, Secretary of State Rubio, and Defense Secretary Hegseth were all deployed to make coordinated statements about the administration’s desired direction.

 

Of course, the DC establishment “War! War! War! hawks” are in meltdown. But what’s their alternative? Endless trench warfare and hundreds of thousands more dead Russians and Ukrainians. Paid for, of course, by the U.S.

 

J.D. Vance got the assignment of saying Russia doesn’t have a blank check and had better get to the negotiating table. Vance told reporters:

 

“There’s a whole host of things that we could do. But, fundamentally, I think the president wants to have a productive negotiation, both with Putin and with Zelensky. . . The president is not going into this with blinders on. He’s going to say, ‘Everything is on the table. Let’s make a deal.’”

 

 

We have a grown-up president now, in contrast to when we were told Joe Biden was president.

 

 

 

Defending Democracy

 

Vice President J.D. Vance is in Germany today for the annual Munich Security Conference. But Vance wasn’t there for polite conversation with Europe’s globalist elites.

 

Instead, he sternly told European leaders the same thing I did yesterday. Vance said:

 

“The threat that I worry the most about vis-à-vis Europe is not Russia, it’s not China. It’s not any other external actor. What I worry about is the threat from within -- the retreat of Europe from some of its most fundamental values, values shared with the United States of America.”

 

Vance blasted European nations for their increasing intolerance toward faith, free speech, and the commonsense views of their own citizens. He told Europe’s elites that while increasing their defense capabilities is important, it’s just as important to remember what it is they are defending – freedom.

This is the difference between an apologetic America, like we had under pretend President Biden, and an America First president and vice president.

 

Donald Trump and J.D. Vance are routinely accused of undermining democracy, but they are, in fact, aggressive defenders of democratic values, including the freedom of speech and religious liberty both here and in Europe.

 

We are constantly told that we have to go to war to defend freedom in Europe, but European governments are increasingly taking away the freedom of their own people.

 

This is a great day to be a proud American!

 

 

 

Speaking Of Proud Americans. . .

 

U.S. Army recruiting is going through the roof. The months following Donald Trump’s election saw record-breaking numbers. As a result, the Army has already met 59% of its recruiting goal for the current fiscal year. This is amazing!

 

I believe more young Americans are joining the military now because they know this commander-in-chief is serious about putting America first and making our country great again. They also know that the woke agenda is being kicked out of the military.

 

Just compare these Army recruiting ads.

 

This one, called “Emma,” is about a girl who dreamt about joining the military while being raised by two moms. It ran during the Biden administration.

 

Now, watch this new Army ad. The title tells you everything: “Stronger people are HARDER to KILL!”

 

After a million views, the Emma ad had 36,000 dislikes and only 775 people liked it, none of whom joined the military.

 

Then again, maybe they did because the number of alleged transgender soldiers is a lot higher than I would have thought. I don’t think that’s striking fear in hearts of our enemies.

 

Will some left-wing judge strike down the new Army ad before the day is over? That wouldn’t be any more ridiculous than what they have been striking down in recent weeks.

 

 

 

Reining In Rogue Judges

 

I’ve had a number of conservative friends and supporters ask me in recent days if it is possible for the Trump administration to overcome the totally illegitimate rulings from rogue Obama/Biden district court judges in multiple jurisdictions. All these cases have the same theme: “We get to run America, Mr. Trump, even though you were elected president.”

 

I believe the answer is yes, Trump will overcome this. I believe he has an unlikely ally in this battle, who has often disappointed us and disappointed Trump. His name is Chief Justice John Roberts.

 

This attack by district court judges on Trump’s presidential authority is an attack on the purpose and legitimacy of the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court decides national matters. It decides when the entire country has to follow a particular decision. The Supreme Court is the co-equal branch of government along with Congress and the president.

 

If mere district court judges can restrain a president and impose nationwide orders dictating policies on him, then John Roberts and the Supreme Court just became irrelevant.

 

I don’t believe Roberts will allow that to happen, and I don’t mean years from now. The Trump Justice Department will get the issue of presidential authority in front of the Supreme Court sooner rather than later.

 

If usurpations of power by leftist district court judges are allowed to stand, why would anyone run for president or want to serve on the Supreme Court?

 

 

 

Aiding & Abetting

 

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is in hot water with her constituents, the legal ones at least, for teaching illegal aliens how to avoid ICE. One might be tempted to say, “That’s what an America-hating neo-Marxist demagogue would be expected to do.” And I agree with that.

 

But AOC is not alone. Catholic Charities has produced videos telling illegal aliens how they can evade ICE. Someone in the FBI leaked details of planned immigration enforcement operations to help criminal aliens avoid capture.

 

Evidently, a large number of Americans, justifying their actions in a variety of ways, are willing to hurt America by helping illegal aliens stay in the country. Keep in mind that the people ICE is looking for are criminals.

 

So, the neo-Marxist AOC and the “Christian” Catholic Charities have both justified being on the side of illegal aliens over American citizens. If someone is not worried about the future of America, just ponder that for a few minutes.

• Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem fired four FEMA employees, including FEMA’s chief financial officer, for spending $59 million to house illegal aliens in luxury hotels. The money was also taken back.

 

• Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey signed legislation declaring there are only two genders, male and female.

 

• Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee signed legislation offering parents more options in the education of their children.

 

• Goldman Sachs joined the growing list of major American companies dumping their divisive DEI policies.

 

• PBS dumped its DEI office in compliance with President Trump’s executive order.
