Our Rogue Regime

Two shocking reports were just released that should infuriate every American. Taken together, they expose the degree of politicization of key agencies and why President-elect Donald Trump cannot appoint “business as usual” nominees to lead our intelligence and security agencies.

The first report came from the bipartisan task force investigating the assassination attempts against Donald Trump. While the entire report is disturbing, two issues really stand out.

On the attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, Rep. Jason Crow, the ranking Democrat on the task force, said that even after all this time we still don’t know much about the shooter. We don’t know how he was radicalized, what his motives were, or whether he was working with anyone else.

Really? Why don’t we know?

On the second assassination attempt in September, the report states that all of the relevant federal agencies refused to cooperate with task force investigators seeking documents and information.

The congressional task force got nothing from the Department of Homeland Security, the Secret Service, the FBI, and the ATF about the attempt on Trump’s life at his Palm Beach, Florida, golf course.

That is simply unacceptable! It’s no wonder that some people suspect elements of our own government were involved in the assassination attempts.

The second report takes us back to 2017 when the Deep State was trying to frame Donald Trump as a Russian agent.

Not only was the FBI spying on Trump’s campaign and working to sabotage his presidency, we now know that the FBI was also spying on two members of Congress and forty congressional staffers without court permission.

These congressmen and their aides were not threats to national security. But they were seen as threats to the FBI. Why? Because they were working to expose the Russia collusion hoax. One of those congressional aides spied on by the FBI was Kash Patel – the man Donald Trump has nominated to clean house at the FBI.

This is more evidence that the vast intelligence powers of the government meant to protect us have been turned against us. And it’s how people lose their liberty. We judge countries all the time that use these kinds of authoritarian tactics against their own citizens.

Remember this the next time you hear a senator criticizing Trump’s nominees who intend to clean out the rot in our security and intelligence agencies.

The Swamp Resists

I continue to be struck by how much the interventionist “America is the world’s policeman” wing of the Republican Party keeps trying to resist and blow up Donald Trump’s agenda. He was elected president, not them!

Today’s example of the Swamp’s resistance comes from the Wall Street Journal. The lead editorial, from the Journal’s own editorial board, attacks Tulsi Gabbard, Trump’s nominee to be director of National Intelligence.

But that’s not all. They gave the top of the next page to John Bolton, who tells why he thinks Kash Patel doesn’t belong at the FBI.

Why should we, Donald Trump, or any Republican senator take advice from Bolton?

He announced earlier this year that he would never vote for Trump and would instead write in – wait for it – Dick Cheney.

Why does the Wall Street Journal think any of this is a helpful use of their limited editorial space?

Drone Debacle

The way the government is handling the news that mystery drones are flying all over the country is another example of why there is such declining confidence in the people who are supposed to keep us safe.

Yesterday, three top officials from various government agencies testified before a House Homeland Security subcommittee about the troubling drones. The FBI assistant director said we know absolutely nothing about them but still suggested that they pose no risk. If he doesn’t know anything, how can he say there is no risk?

We just sent $1 billion to Ukraine, but we can’t stop drones from flying over our military bases? How is that possible?

Rep. Chris Smith of New Jersey is a good man. I have worked with him many times. He spoke with a top Coast Guard officer who told him that “one of their 47-foot vessels was trailed very closely by more than a dozen drones” that were “the size of a car.”

A local law enforcement officer also told Rep. Smith that he saw at least 50 drones approaching the shoreline from the ocean. Smith is demanding that a nearby Air Force base shoot one of them down so we can try to learn something about them.

I certainly hope they do. New Jersey Rep. Jeff Van Drew says he has been told by “very high, qualified, and responsible sources” that these are likely Iranian drones launched from a ship off our coast. The Pentagon disputes that. So, what exactly does the Pentagon know?

Some have suggested, and I agree, that the governor of New Jersey should declare a state of emergency. If the weekend weather forecast called for six inches of snow in New Jersey, he would declare an emergency.

But swarms of massive unknown drones flying all over the state isn’t an emergency?

One expert said yesterday that we might be facing another Pearl Harbor-like attack or worse. I can’t stop thinking about previous reports that thousands of military-aged Chinese men suddenly started coming across the southern border.

Is there no one in the government who thinks this is worth investigating?

China policy expert Gordon Chang has warned that communist China could be easily deploying a military unit inside the U.S. or at least hundreds of saboteurs. That sounds far-fetched, but so did the idea of using domestic aircraft as weapons of mass destruction as happened on 9/11.

By the way, do you remember the illegal Chinese biolab with deadly pathogens in central California? The feds initially weren’t interested in it at all. Certainly sounds interesting to me.

Marxist Madness

In the wake of the cowardly murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, left-wing activists are plastering “wanted” posters with the photos of other healthcare executives in several cities. There is also a poster of Thompson with a red X across his picture.

The message is obvious – these radical Marxists want more bloodshed.

I suspect the people putting up these “wanted” posters are the same people who tore down posters of Israelis taken hostage by Hamas. It’s the same deranged mindset on the left that justifies and encourages violence.

Speaking of justifying, here’s what Sen. Elizabeth Warren told the left-wing Huffington Post about Thompson’s murder:

“The visceral response from people across this country who feel cheated, ripped off, and threatened by the vile practices of their insurance companies should be a warning to everyone in the health care system.

“Violence is never the answer, but people can be pushed only so far. This is a warning that if you push people hard enough, they lose faith in . . . government . . . and start to take matters into their own hands. . .”

The leftist media would be apoplectic if anyone said that about the people involved in a boisterous protest on January 6th.

Meanwhile, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., is being attacked because he wants to reform the American health care system. He thinks, and I believe correctly, that healthcare is too focused on drugs to treat diseases rather than efforts to prevent disease.

This privileged thug who killed Brian Thompson thinks the health care system is broken, and his solution was to assassinate an insurance company CEO.

I think it is very revealing that between these two individuals – the assassin and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. – the media and left say one is a hero and a freedom fighter and the other is a buffoon who shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near our health care system.

Wray Wraps It Up

This afternoon, FBI Director Christopher Wray formally announced that he will resign next month at the end of the Biden administration. In a Truth Social post, President-elect Donald Trump responded to the announcement, saying:

“The resignation of Christopher Wray is a great day for America as it will end the Weaponization of what has become known as the United States Department of Injustice. . . Under the leadership of Christopher Wray, the FBI illegally raided my home, without cause. . .

“The American People are demanding a strong, but fair, System of Justice. We want our FBI back, and that will now happen. I look forward to Kash Patel’s confirmation, so that the process of Making the FBI Great Again can begin. Thank you!”
