Tragedy Over Washington
As many of you know, I’ve been working in our nation’s capital on behalf of Faith, Family, and Freedom for decades. I’ve seen some amazing and wonderful things in D.C.
I’ve also seen some terrible things during those years. I was in my car next to the Pentagon on the horrible morning of 9/11. Last night was another one of those terrible things.
As you know, an Army Blackhawk helicopter and a commercial airliner collided over the Potomac River near Reagan National Airport. All 67 people on both aircraft are dead. A full investigation is underway.
I have tremendous confidence in the team President Trump has put together at the Pentagon, the Department of Transportation, and the Department of Homeland Security to find out exactly what happened.
As an aside, this is a poignant reminder that “progressive” obstructionists in the Senate must stop delaying Trump’s nominees!
Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has been at the Pentagon for less than a week. And Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy was only on the job for one day before this tragedy occurred! Yet in spite of the petty delay tactics, both leaders acted quickly and professionally.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families who lost someone last night. Everyone who loved the people on the helicopter and the plane had absolutely no clue that the last time they saw them would be the last time they saw them.
The reality of life is that we only have this second. The next second could be an accident, a heart attack, or another tragic event.
That’s why every time we are with our children or grandchildren, Carol and I say to them as we are leaving, “I love you.” We don’t just say, “Bye bye.” We say it like we mean it, “I love you.”
If you don’t already, I urge you to try to develop the habit of telling the people you love, “I love you,” every day.
One final thought. Life on Earth is full of wonder, and it is full of tragedy. Be not afraid. Trust in God.
The Consoler In Chief
President Trump held a press conference at the White House this morning. Before he took questions from reporters, he spoke to the nation regarding last night’s terrible accident, saying:
“I speak to you this morning in an hour of anguish for our nation. . . As one nation, we grieve for every precious soul that has been taken from us. . . In moments like this, the differences between Americans fade to nothing compared to the bonds of affection and loyalty that unites us all. . .
“Together we take solace in the knowledge that their journey ended not in the cold waters of the Potomac but in the warm embrace of a loving God.”
Making America Safe Again
President Trump signed the Laken Riley Act into law yesterday. This was a top priority for the president. During the campaign, he promised to get the bill through Congress and that he would sign it.
Laken Riley was a strong Christian raised in a Christian home. She was brutally murdered by an illegal alien who had been arrested multiple times. Laken’s mother spoke at the White House bill signing ceremony. She thanked President Trump for keeping his promise and added:
“Most importantly, I want to thank our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Without His sacrifices, Laken’s story would have ended on that horrific day that she was taken from us. But because of Him, we can continue knowing that we will see Laken again.”
The left and the media want us to forget people like Laken Riley. They want us to forget about the thousands of other Americans, many of them minorities, who have been robbed, raped, and murdered by illegal aliens. They don’t give a damn about the victims and the suffering caused by their insane policies.
Now, they are desperately searching for a crying migrant to put on TV to make us forget why Donald Trump is trying so hard to get these criminals out of our country. We can’t go squishy now!
Putting Children First
President Trump’s outstanding executive orders just keep coming! Yesterday, Trump issued an order protecting children from radical indoctrination in our schools.
I hope everyone understands just how evil it is for a teacher or counselor to tell little children that they were “assigned” a gender at birth and it may be the wrong gender. If the child thinks this may have happened to them, their teacher encourages them and offers to help them “transition” without telling their parents.
In previous generations, if a father found out that a teacher was telling his son he was a girl, that teacher would be on the wrong end of a fist. We’re “civilized” now, and that’s not how we mete out justice or settle disputes.
But just because we are “civilized,” doesn’t mean we have to tolerate leftist lunacy. We cannot permit this insane child abuse and indoctrination to continue!
Trump’s order also targets critical race theory (CRT). Many don’t understand what CRT is because the media and the left claim it is essential to solving America’s bigotry. But CRT causes bigotry to grow, not shrink.
Critical race theory is a Marxist concept that divides people not by class but by race. Minority children are taught that no matter how hard they work, they will never succeed because they are oppressed. Bulletin: That means you discourage achievement by minority youth.
Every Caucasian child is told, “You may not realize it, but as a white person, you are a genetic oppressor. Throughout history, your race has oppressed others. Every day you must ask for forgiveness.” What do you think that does to the self-esteem of a young white child?
This doesn’t solve racism; it stokes racism. And it is being subsidized with your tax money.
Under Joe Biden, if you didn’t put this poison in your schools, he threatened to cut off the school’s federal funding. When we are in office, the traditional conservative approach has been to stop threatening schools and let the schools make their own decisions.
I no longer believe that is an actual conservative position. I believe the actual conservative position is what Donald Trump is trying to do now.
CRT and transgender ideology are so evil that we cannot say to 13,000 school districts, “It’s up to you. Do whatever you want because we believe in federalism.” That just doesn’t cut it anymore.
Unfortunately, some conservatives think we should take the approach that if San Francisco wants to do that, fine. No, it’s not fine!
Children in urban schools will be poisoned by this evil indoctrination. We have to draw lines.
Not Backing Off
The White House clarified late yesterday that it only withdrew the poorly written memo on the federal spending freeze. It did not withdraw the president’s order. Democrats deliberately distorted the memo to frighten people. But Donald Trump is not backing off from his efforts to get this woke garbage out of federal programs.
Hours after the memo was withdrawn, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem told Fox News that she froze multiple grants to non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that are facilitating the illegal alien invasion of our country. “We’re not spending another dime to help the destruction of this country,” Noem said.
Billions of our tax dollars are going to NGOs that help illegal aliens get into our country, and then we spend billions more trying to find and deport them. It’s infuriating that many of these NGOs are religious organizations like Catholic Charities and other “Christian” groups.
Confirmation Chaos
The confirmation hearings of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., Kash Patel, and Tulsi Gabbard are a mockery of the Senate’s “advise and consent” role. These hearings are so bad they undermine respect for our constitutional Republic.
They are “search and destroy” missions by the left to keep America on the wrong road by trying to stop Trump from filling some of the most important positions in his administration. Democrats desperately want to maintain control of the bureaucracy and the Deep State.
We don’t have to agree with Tulsi Gabbard on everything, but she is a patriot and Trump wants her on his team. Smearing her as a traitor, as Hillary Clinton did and as some leftists are doing now, is disgusting. Gabbard wore the uniform of this country for 20 years.
If you missed it, I urge you to watch her opening statement at today’s confirmation hearing. This is exactly the kind of leadership we need to drain the Swamp!
The left hates Kash Patel because of his work with former Congressman Devin Nunez. Patel was one of the most brilliant and aggressive investigators who exposed the Russia collusion lie the left used to torpedo the first Trump administration.
In the case of Robert Kennedy and Tulsi Gabbard, these are two former Democrats that “progressives” want to “kill” because they dared to walk away from today’s neo-Marxist left.
Trans Violence Hidden By Big Media
Ten days ago, Border Patrol Agent David Maland was shot and killed along the Vermont/Canadian border. His killers are highly educated math and computer geniuses. They’re also implicated in murders in California and Pennsylvania. But this story is getting virtually no coverage from Big Media.
Thanks to independent journalists, we now know why the media won’t cover this story – these killers belonged to a violent transgender cult.
