Biden’s Farewell Address
Joe Biden delivered his farewell address to the nation last night. This must be the longest farewell in modern history. He’s given several speeches recently hailed by the media as his “closing message” or “valedictory speech.”
But Biden is going out the way he came in – with nothing but deception and lies. He said he ran for president in reaction to Donald Trump praising neo-Nazis. That is a disgusting lie. Now he’s saying that Donald Trump and Elon Musk are threats to America. Another disgusting lie.
What made it such a predictable Biden speech is that he used the Oval Office to push raw partisan politics. Even though the American people just rejected his main theme at the ballot box, Biden talked again about “powerful forces” and billionaires with dark money “threatening our democracy.”
Joe Biden demanded that Big Tech censor the American people. He had no problem with the “tech industrial complex” when the left controlled it.
Biden demanded that the Deep State censor the truth to cover up his and his son’s crimes. And he just gave George Soros, the dark lord of dark money, the nation’s highest civilian honor.
I can’t wait to say “Farewell” to Joe Biden!
The Real Threat
Biden’s theme of “defending democracy” came up repeatedly in Pam Bondi’s confirmation hearing yesterday. Democrat senators repeatedly insinuated that Donald Trump will take away our freedoms, and they demanded that Bondi stand up to his unconstitutional orders. She brushed off their absurd suggestions. (See below.)
Republican senators and American Values are reminding the American people what real threats to democracy look like, that we just lived through four years of unprecedented attacks on our “democracy,” and that the left cheered every abuse and assault against our freedom and liberty.
Let me remind you of a few examples.
The freedom of religion is one of our “first” rights in the Constitution. Biden’s FBI sent agents to multiple Catholic churches under the pretense that the worshippers were potential domestic terrorists. Then the FBI lied to Congress about it when they got caught.
Another fundamental freedom is the right to peacefully assemble to protest. The entire civil rights movement was only possible because of peaceful protests, including marches, sit-ins, etc.
The Biden Justice Department prosecuted pro-life activists whose only “crime” was to go to abortion clinics to pray and sing. Some were given sentences worse than many criminals get in progressive-run cities. My hope and prayer is that Donald Trump will pardon them and release them.
The foundation of our constitutional Republic is the freedom of speech. There’s nothing in the First Amendment that says you can speak only if your remarks are approved by the “Ministry of Truth.”
But Joe Biden, his leftist cronies, their liberal judges, and their billionaires are doing everything they can to redefine free speech as speech they agree with and to redefine speech they don’t like as hate speech or misinformation.
If you support border security, you’re a bigot who wants to keep people of color out of the country. If you believe in the sanctity of life, you hate women. If you don’t want boys in girls’ bathrooms, you are a transphobe or homophobe.
If you think COVID-19 came from a lab in communist China, you’re a conspiracy nut. And don’t even dare think about suggesting there might be fraud in our elections.
The left wants to repeal the Second Amendment. When the Founding Fathers wrote it, they weren’t thinking about hunting. They believed that the right of citizens to own guns was essential if the rights in the First Amendment were to be protected. They believed, and knew from experience, that an armed citizenry is a bulwark against dictatorship.
Putting America First
How close did we come to losing our constitutional Republic? Well, just imagine if Hillary Clinton, not Donald Trump, had made three Supreme Court appointments.
Thankfully, it was Trump who made those appointments. He had to fight unbelievable confirmation battles. Unhinged leftists invaded the Senate. They attacked the Supreme Court. They even tried to assassinate one of the justices. That court stopped many of Biden’s most dangerous goals.
I shudder to think of what America might look like today without a conservative court willing to defend our rights and a president willing to fight for them.
Donald Trump is in a category all by himself in his ability and willingness to suffer attacks 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
They called him a “traitor.” They smeared him as a “fascist.” He couldn’t even make a phone call with a foreign leader without some Deep State hack leaking his private conversation. He endured trials on trumped-up charges, mugshots, efforts to kick him off the ballot, and assassination attempts.
All of this was done to a man who, at any point, could have looked at his wife and said, “Honey, I’m going to buy a couple of islands. Let’s go enjoy ourselves.”
Thankfully, Donald Trump did not give up. He put everything he had on the line. He put America and us first.
More Lies
When Joe Biden wasn’t lying in his farewell speech about threats to “our democracy,” he was lying about his own record.
He said his administration “inherited” an “economic crisis.” No, he didn’t. We were in the middle of massive recovery with 4.1% growth in the last quarter of Trump’s presidency as the country started reopening.
Biden also pointed to the California wildfires as proof of the “existential threat of climate change” and justification for his big government spending schemes. Climate change isn’t the problem in California. It’s bad leadership and bad people.
I won’t go through his speech line by line pointing out everything he said that was wrong. The bottom line is that American people knew everything he did was wrong, and the polls show it.
Joe Biden is leaving office with an approval rating of just 36%.
He’s leaving office with negative ratings on 17 out of 18 issues.
He’s leaving office with the American people viewing him as one of the worst presidents in modern history, even worse than Jimmy Carter.
He’s leaving office under a cloud of corruption and scandal, with his legacy in tatters, his party defeated, and his agenda rejected.
Here’s something notable: No prominent Democrats are defending Biden. No Democrat senators are using the confirmation hearings or going on Sunday talk shows to say what a great job Joe Biden did. There’s none of that.
Bondi Nails It
One of the blockbuster moments in Pam Bondi’s confirmation hearing yesterday occurred when Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) asked Bondi if it is “appropriate for a prosecutor to start with a name and look for a crime.”
Bondi brilliantly turned the question around, telling Whitehouse:
“Senator, I think that is the whole problem with the weaponization that we’ve seen over the last four years and what's been happening to Donald Trump. . . It actually started back in 2016. They targeted his campaign. They launched countless investigations against him. . .”
Whitehouse also tried to get Bondi to condemn Kash Patel, Trump’s nominee to be FBI director. She didn’t take the bait. And she didn’t hesitate to put Adam Schiff in his place!
Speaking of Trump’s Nominees
Today, President-elect Trump named three “Special Ambassadors to a great but very troubled place, Hollywood, California.” Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone will work with Trump to bring movie production back from foreign countries and back to Hollywood.
Trump said he wants to make Hollywood, “BIGGER, BETTER, AND STRONGER THAN EVER BEFORE! . . . It will again be, like The United States of America itself, The Golden Age of Hollywood!”
If that’s not bipartisan outreach, I don’t know what is!
Kudos To Speaker Johnson
After the House of Representatives passed legislation protecting girls’ sports, a reporter incredulously asked Speaker Johnson why he thinks the Bible teaches that there are only two genders. Without missing a beat, Johnson replied:
“It goes back to the first book, Genesis. Male and female He made them. This is pretty clear. I’m not sure there is another interpretation. . . But this comports with common sense as well. . . It’s also nature. It’s biology. And biology is not bigotry.”
In other news, Speaker Johnson removed Rep. Mike Turner as chairman of the House Intelligence Committee. Many conservatives felt Turner was too close to the Deep State and an obstacle to Trump’s America First policies.
