Ready For Deprogramming?

Hillary Clinton just made a jaw-dropping statement that should set off alarm bells everywhere.  We should know by now that when Hillary puts something on the table, no matter how insane it sounds (like the Russia collusion hoax), it is often a signal of where the left is going.

In an interview with CNN, Hillary declared the MAGA movement to be “a cult,” adding, “Maybe there needs to be a formal deprogramming of the cult members.”  She wasn’t joking.

This goes well beyond her rhetorical use of the word “deplorable.” This was Hillary’s latest effort to dehumanize half the country, which is exactly what Marxists do all the time.  She just said the quiet part out loud. 

The Soviets were notorious for their use of “reeducation camps.”  There are “reeducation camps” in communist China and North Korea today. 

I’m sure some people reading this are thinking to themselves, “That could never happen here.”  Think again!  It already is.  Some of the January 6th defendants, in order to get more reasonable sentences, have had to undergo a form of deprogramming.

Given Hillary’s outrageous comment, conservatives should insist on follow-up questions.  What exactly does she have in mind?

How many people are we talking about?  In the latest Washington Post poll, Donald Trump is up 10 points over Joe Biden, so that’s more than 80 million people who need “deprogramming.”

It sounds like she’s given this idea some thought.  So, who is going to do it?  Will it be FEMA?  Will it be the Department of Education, which has already mastered the art of indoctrination in our schools? 

Has Hillary talked to her friends at the FBI, who we know are already tracking MAGA supporters?  Has she been to any White House meetings to discuss this? 

Maybe this will fall under the Department of Homeland Security.  That would be perfectly Orwellian, since so many laws meant to protect us are now being deployed against us.

By the way, if we are actually members of a cult who need deprogramming, I suspect they really don’t want to allow us to vote.  Do we normally try to get cult members to show up on Election Day? 

Maybe they’ll deport us.  They could use the same buses and planes they’re using to transport illegal aliens all over the country.  When a Biden border bus shows up in Indiana to release a bunch of illegal aliens, it could load up with MAGA supporters on its way back to the border! 

Leftist Cults

Here’s the irony in all this:  There are large, dangerous cults in America today, and virtually every one of them makes its home on the left. 

The climate change movement is a cult.  It wants you to believe unbelievable things, like your car has more to do with global warming than the sun.  If you try to debate the climate cultists, they denounce you and act like you just engaged in heresy. 

There are altars that politicians must bow before in order to get their votes.  And the danger they present is that their beliefs and policies are the vehicle for imposing neo-Marxism on the country in the name of saving the planet. 

The transgender movement is another cult.  Its mind-numbing effects are so powerful that it causes even a Harvard educated Supreme Court nominee to say she can’t define what a woman is. 

It tries to convince us there are dozens of genders.  It wants us to disbelieve the evidence before our own eyes about who is a man and who is a woman. It claims gender is “assigned” by someone at birth.  It wants to force you to lie by calling a man a woman. 

People with such insane views would normally be considered cultists.  But virtually every powerful force in the country -- from academia to entertainment to government -- is embracing this cult which sterilizes and mutilates children.  

And if you don’t embrace it -- if you refuse to lie or resist allowing a boy into your daughter’s locker room -- they accuse you of causing suicides.  And that’s what cults do -- when things start unraveling, as they always do, the unstable cult members threaten to kill themselves.

A final thought:  One of the problems we have is a total lack of perspective.  Even in conservative media people act like Kevin McCarthy losing his job is a huge crisis that shows just how off the rails we are. 

Well, one of the most influential progressives just suggested that millions of Americans who dare to disagree with the left must be “formally deprogrammed.”  

It’s obvious to me which of those things is the greater threat to our country.

Progressive Problems

While the media are still obsessing over the “McCarthy Mutiny,” progressives have plenty of their own problems.  Two major constituencies in the progressive coalition are not happy right now.  In fact, they’re downright angry. 

We’re constantly told that young women are aligning with the left.  That process is supposedly on steroids now that abortion has been limited.  Well, a group of women at Roanoke College yesterday were not happy with the progressive left. 

The entire female swim team stood up and fought back against their college and the left for insisting that they take a back seat and give up their hopes and dreams by accepting a male swimmer on their team.

There was another and larger group of angry voters, mostly black Americans, in Chicago this week.  Their anger level was so high, it looked like they were one step away from a riot. 

At a town hall event, speaker after speaker blasted the city’s plans to take away a community football field and hand it over to illegal aliens.  This football field is a desperately needed safe haven for neighborhood youth, keeping many off the streets and out of gangs.

Well, no more.  The neighborhood residents and football players just found out where they rank – below illegal aliens.

Progressive politicians and their policies have destroyed Chicago’s inner-city communities and schools for decades.  Now they’re taking away one of the last safe places for their kids because illegal immigrants are more important to the leftist elites. 

This is what conservatives at every level should be saying.  The neo-Marxist left wants to replace the population of America.  That’s not a “racist talking point” because we’re not just talking about whites. 

Professor Carol Swain is not a white supremacist.  She’s black.  The late Congresswoman Barbara Jordan was not a white supremacist.  She was black.

Open borders policies hurt every community!  And Joe Biden is dumping migrants in progressive cities and taking resources intended for minority Americans. 

But you can’t beat something with nothing.  Conservatives must do better about engaging in these communities now!

Trump Endorses Jordan

Late last night, Donald Trump formally endorsed Rep. Jim Jordan to be the next Speaker of the House.  The general consensus for the moment is that Majority Leader Steve Scalise has the advantage. 

I know both men.  Scalise has been admirably tough in his personal life.  But I have concerns about whether he is willing to be tough enough to stop the left’s “fundamental transformation” of America. 

Moreover, there is a feeling among many, myself included, that it would be best to have a clean break from the past and start over with new leadership.  Many conservatives felt that was necessary after the 2022 elections, and it didn’t happen.

We’ll have to wait and see how this plays out, but I’m not surprised that Trump would endorse Jordan. 

ACTION ITEM:  If you are represented by a Republican House member, call their office now at 202-224-3121.  Urge them to unite behind Jim Jordan for Speaker of the House.

About Biden’s Wall. . .

The Biden Administration shocked observers across the spectrum yesterday with the announcement that it was building 20 miles of Trump’s border wall.  This is not a “Damascus conversion” on Biden’s part and it’s a meaningless gesture.

Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas went to great lengths to clarify that this announcement was not a “change of policy.” 

When pressed by reporters, Biden essentially said he was forced to do it because the funds were appropriated by law in 2019 and Congress refused to reallocate them.

I’m not holding my breath that these 20 miles of new wall will be built.  And even if they are, it doesn’t matter because Biden is absolutely refusing to enforce every immigration law.

• A Wisconsin judge struck down a school district’s policy of affirming “gender transitions” at school without parental consent.

• A Pennsylvania school board repealed its transgender policies after students walked out in protest.

• At least ten members of the Chicago City Council are sponsoring a resolution to put the city’s sanctuary status for illegal aliens on the ballot in 2024.
