Cease-fire Deal
There is breaking news indicating that Israel may accept a four-day cease-fire in exchange for Hamas releasing dozens of Israeli hostages. Israel is also expected to release as many as 300 convicted Palestinian prisoners. White House spokesman John Kirby said the negotiations were at a “delicate stage.”
While this is certainly welcome news for many Israeli families, the pressure on Israel to agree to a cease-fire is completely misguided.
There was a cease-fire in place in Gaza on October 6th. But Hamas broke it on October 7th when an army of vicious jihadists invaded Israel and committed horrific atrocities, slaughtering more Jews on a single day than any day since the Holocaust. And Hamas has vowed to slaughter Jews again and again and again until Israel is annihilated.
Musk vs. Media Matters
The radical left plays hardball. Let me give you one example from the marriage debate several years ago.
Not only did left-wing activists dox donors to pro-marriage ballot initiatives, they would also organize harassment campaigns against Fox News and other media outlets whenever they featured conservative guests defending marriage as the union of one man and one woman.
Leftists would flood the outlet with calls or messages accusing the conservative guest of “bigotry” and condemning the show for allowing “expressions of hate on the air.” The pressure tactics frequently worked. It spooked many producers and influenced their decisions about who they would invite on to their shows.
These neo-Marxists are playing a very astute game, and it’s all part of their attack on the free speech rights of every American. Media Matters aggressively went after Rush Limbaugh, Tucker Carlson and Fox News. They’re not interested in a free and open debate. They want to silence debate.
This is one of the reasons the left hates Elon Musk so much. He is a smart guy who defends free speech. He knows what’s going on, and he fights back.
The left is determined to silence Musk and to shut down his social media platform, X, formerly known as Twitter. The neo-Marxist hacks at Media Matters organized a hoax that purportedly showed X was pushing white supremacist and neo-Nazi messaging alongside ads from mainstream brands.
Well, you can imagine the reaction. Major corporations, including Apple, Comcast, Disney and IBM, immediately pulled their ads from X. It appeared that the Media Matters hoax worked.
But there was just one problem. The data analysts at X were able to determine that Media Matters had grossly manipulated the algorithms to manufacture their desired outcome. In other words, it was a digital dirty trick.
Elon Musk is now threatening a “thermonuclear lawsuit” against Media Matters for orchestrating a “fraudulent attack” against his company. The attorneys general of Missouri and Texas are also investigating whether Media Matters committed any illegal acts.
If anyone can take down Media Matters, it’s Elon Musk. And that would be a tremendous service to the country and the cause of freedom!
Confronting CAIR
One of the most inexplicable things that happened after 9/11 was the normalization of the Islamist organization CAIR. In the wake of 9/11, government officials wanting to combat religious intolerance frequently invited Christian, Jewish and other faith leaders to major events and strategy meetings.
Members of the Islamic community wanted to be represented at these meetings, but somehow representatives from CAIR were selected. CAIR officials frequently visited the Obama/Biden White House.
They even managed to play a role in crafting the Biden Administration’s recently announced plan to combat anti-Semitism. And you see CAIR’s influence every time the Biden White House brings up “Islamophobia” in response to rising anti-Semitism following the October 7th Hamas massacre in Israel.
Unfortunately, the group is filled with people whose lives are animated by hate. Here’s the latest example.
Zainab Chaudry is the director of CAIR’s Maryland office. She was recently appointed by Maryland’s attorney general to the state Commission on Hate Crime Response and Prevention.
I don’t know what kind of vetting, if any, Attorney General Anthony Brown did before making his appointment, but I can only hope that he regrets it now.
This individual charged with preventing hate crimes is spewing a lot of hate against Israel. She has compared Israel to Nazi Germany. She had the audacity to suggest that the 40 kidnapped Israeli children were “fake,” while claiming that Israel has killed thousands of Palestinian children.
Another post implied that Israel shouldn’t exist at all, suggesting that all trouble in the Middle East started in 1948, with the establishment of the modern state of Israel.
As long as progressive politicians continue to empower CAIR, it will continue to normalize radical Islam and sow discord within our country.
Congratulations & A Warning
Congratulations to the voters of Argentina, who just elected Javier Milei, a populist libertarian, as their next president. He is the first non-socialist to be elected in 40 years. He ran against Argentina’s political establishment and as an admirer of Donald Trump.
Now, I want to offer a warning because the conservative Milei has a very real target on his back.
Yesterday, Thierry Baudet, the anti-globalist leader of a Dutch populist party, was viciously attacked and struck in the head while entering a restaurant.
Spain just arrested three people connected to the attempted assassination of Alejo Vidal-Quadras, co-founder of Spain’s populist Vox Party. He was shot in the face at point-blank range while walking home from church recently. The actual gunman is still at large.
Brazil’s Jair Bolsonaro, known as the “Trump of the Tropics,” was nearly stabbed to death.
Meanwhile, conservative leaders in Europe have been routinely smeared because they insisted on defending the borders and sovereignty of their nations and refused to tolerate mass migration from Islamic countries. There were no mass demonstrations against Israel in Italy, Hungary and Poland, but their leaders are regularly accused of anti-Semitism.
Speaking of Israel, the political left in Israel and America have been furiously scheming for years to take down Benjamin Netanyahu.
And, of course, the left has been demonizing Donald Trump ever since he came down the escalator at Trump Tower.
Whether you’re a Trump fan or not, we should all be praying for his safety. We know the left would love to see him die in jail – a real possibility if he’s convicted on all these trumped-up charges.
But there are others who would simply like to kill him, and the left has routinely engaged in “Trump assassination porn.” (Here and here.) Multiple people have also been arrested for threatening to kill him. (Here, here and here.) If any harm comes to him, our country may explode.
