Holy Week
It’s Holy Week, the week leading up to Good Friday and Easter Sunday. I couldn’t help thinking this morning what it was like last year when we knew the Biden administration would give Christians the back of their hand with Easter coming up.
Sure enough, the Biden White House spent Easter Sunday celebrating Transgender Visibility Day. It was as disgusting as it was predictable.
The Biden/Harris regime was at war with religious liberty. They were putting pro-life Christians in jail. They were spying on conservative churches. They were forcing LGBTQ propaganda on our kids. They were targeting Christian universities for harassment.
We have the exact opposite now.
President Trump just issued an encouraging message recognizing Holy Week.
Attorney General Pam Bondi is rooting out anti-Christian bias at the Justice Department.
Veterans Secretary Doug Collins is rooting out anti-Christian bias at the Veterans Administration.
Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy called for getting Jesus out of the basement of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, where the Biden administration was trying to hide Him.
And President Trump brought Jesus out of the White House basement, too!
The only time Biden and his gang mentioned Jesus or the Bible was to justify their Marxist policies of using government force to take something from some people and give it to others. That is not the Gospel of Christ. That’s the gospel of Karl Marx.
Defending The Faithful
The State Department is one of the most secular bureaucracies in the federal government. It often turns a blind eye to Christian persecution around the world and seems to go out of its way at times to offend Christians here in the U.S. and around the world. That’s changed, too.
Last week, Secretary of State Marco Rubio instructed State Department employees to report any examples of anti-Christian bigotry that occurred during the Biden/Harris years, especially any examples of Christian employees being targeted for discipline or retaliation.
As a result of this directive, the left-wing media are acting like the Spanish Inquisition just set up shop at the State Department. Left-wing bureaucrats compared Rubio’s order to the dystopian novel The Handmaid’s Tale. So-called “journalists” are decrying the totalitarian order to “rat out” colleagues.
Just ask yourself a simple question: If a liberal president said to the bureaucracy, “If you see anything resembling Islamophobia, report it immediately because that will not be tolerated,” would anyone in the media be writing stories about totalitarianism? Of course not.
But when Trump declares that he won’t allow open bigotry against Christians, the left has a meltdown.
In related news, President Trump has nominated former Congressman Mark Walker, also a former pastor, to serve as the U.S. ambassador at-large for international religious freedom.
Left-wing Hate
Two disturbing events made headlines over the weekend – both are additional evidence of the growing hate on the intolerant Left and more evidence of why we desperately need a revival in America.
A 17 year-old is on trial in Wisconsin for murdering his parents. He killed them hoping to get money so he could assassinate President Trump in order to start a political revolution. According to the FBI, this teenager was involved in a “satanic cult” that had “strong anti-Judaism, anti-Christian, and anti-Western ideologies.”
In Pennsylvania, a self-described “socialist” firebombed the governor’s mansion while Gov. Josh Shapiro and his family were sleeping. The arsonist told police that he “hated” the governor and would have “bludgeoned him with a hammer” if he had been able to find him in the mansion.
Where would he get the idea of using Molotov cocktails to firebomb the residence of someone he hated? Could it have anything to do with recent leftist firebombings of Tesla dealerships?
The attack also took place at the beginning of Passover, suggesting this socialist may have had antisemitic motives for hating Shapiro, who is Jewish.
This is not a normal time in America. Both of these cases are examples of the growing violence aimed at our political system, and there is no doubt that the far Left is stoking violence with its outrageous rhetoric.
Sadly, these stories are breaking as we mark the 160th anniversary of one of the worst incidents of political violence in our nation’s history – the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln.
The Left’s War On Faith
If you’re a Christian and want to be a foster parent, some liberal states are demanding you affirm whatever gender delusions the foster child has. If you can’t agree to do that, leftist bureaucrats and politicians will not allow you to be a foster parent.
The Kansas legislature recently passed a law declaring that no Christian parent will be forced to affirm, endorse, or embrace any views related to LGBTQ ideology. The Democrat governor vetoed the law. Thankfully, legislators overrode her veto.
But here’s what you need to know: Every Democrat in the state House and Senate voted to compel Christian foster parents to affirm the LGBTQ agenda as the “price” of wanting to care for children in need. Every Republican except one voted to protect the rights of Christian parents.
This is the pattern all over the country at every level of government with virtually no exceptions.
Many conservatives often express their frustration with the Republican Party for a variety of reasons. For me, it is becoming increasingly difficult, if not impossible, to figure out how any Christian who is serious about their faith can vote for left-wing candidates because doing so empowers a movement that is at war with Christian religious liberty.
Evidence Of Revival
The latest survey from the Barna Group has some really fascinating data that may be evidence of a Christian revival in America. The number of Americans expressing a commitment to Jesus jumped from 54% to 66% over the last four years.
This dramatic increase is coming almost entirely from young men. The commitment to Jesus among Gen Z men (born between 1999 and 2015) was up 15 points and up 19 points among millennial men (born between 1984 and 1998).
The bad news is that there was virtually no improvement among young women. We need to pray for America’s daughters and granddaughters.
Made In America
NVIDIA is one of the world’s leading high-tech companies on the cutting edge of the artificial intelligence (AI) revolution. Like many major corporations, much of NVIDIA’s manufacturing is done overseas. That’s about to change.
The tech giant announced today that it is launching a four-year, $500 billion reshoring effort to boost domestic manufacturing. According to a company press release, NVIDIA will now produce its AI supercomputers entirely in the U.S. for the first time ever.
NVIDIA recently began manufacturing its Blackwell chips, the latest generation AI chips, at a factory in Phoenix, Arizona. It will build two more manufacturing plants in Dallas and Houston, Texas.
In a statement celebrating NVIDIA’s announcement, the White House declared:
“President Donald J. Trump has made U.S.-based chip manufacturing a priority as part of his relentless pursuit of an American manufacturing renaissance, and it’s paying off. . .
“Onshoring these industries is good for the American worker, good for the American economy, and good for American national security — and the best is yet to come.”
