A Transfer Of Worldviews

Presidential inaugurations are hailed as “transfers of power” from one administration to the next. Yesterday’s 60th presidential inauguration was no exception. But most importantly, yesterday’s inauguration marked a dramatic transfer of worldviews.

The radical secular, neo-Marxist, globalist administration has been voted out and replaced with an administration committed to “ordered liberty under God.”

That transfer of worldviews was obvious in the executive orders President Trump issued in the first hours of his second term. Some aides encouraged the president to stretch out the orders over several weeks. Trump responded, “Like hell we are going to do it over weeks! We are going to sign them at the beginning.”

His day yesterday had to begin at 5:00 AM or earlier, and he was signing executive orders well into the night. Today, I want to focus on President Trump’s immediate actions applauded by the pro-family, pro-life, pro-religious liberty movement.

Respect For Life

President Trump has been clear that he views the states as the primary battleground on the abortion issue. But there are still many things the federal government can do.

One thing the Trump/Vance administration did yesterday was shut down a government website promoting abortion that the Biden/Harris administration put up after Roe v. Wade was overturned. We are hopeful that more pro-life actions will be coming in the days ahead as we approach the annual March for Life, which takes place this Friday.

Related to life and the family was President Trump’s executive order instructing the federal government to recognize God’s “executive order” already issued in Genesis 1:27, which clearly states that there are only two genders, male and female.

You could hear the screams all over Washington, D.C., that were triggered by this return to Truth.

Of course, there will be litigation -- even over whether Trump has the right as a matter of law, morality, and science, to assert there are only two genders. In the meantime, renegade bureaucrats trying to promote the fiction that there are 58 genders will be shut down by the White House.

I am also confident that Trump’s first confirmed cabinet official, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, will put an end to the State Department’s promotion of abortion and LGBTQ propaganda. Unbelievably, the Biden/Harris administration made those issues a major centerpiece of their foreign policy agenda to the consternation of many nations.

That section of the State Department’s website has also been taken down.

None of this is going to be easy. The leftist bureaucracy couldn’t wait for Joe Biden’s radical executive orders. They loved them. This DC bureaucracy will fight Trump’s orders with every ounce of their being. At American Values we will be fighting alongside Donald Trump to ensure his orders and the will of the American people are followed.

Restoring Free Speech

The freedom of speech is already embedded in the First Amendment of our Constitution. But President Trump had to issue an executive order to remind the bureaucracy to stop its illegal and un-American censorship.

Free speech has been under a blitzkrieg attack by the Biden administration and their leftist allies embedded in Big Tech companies and our universities. Donald Trump’s executive order that the freedom of speech will not be abridged is not a throwaway piece of paper. It’s an important statement that we are returning to first principles.

There will be legal battles about how this is enforced. But the default position of the Trump/Vance administration will be the position stated in the Constitution by our founding fathers. Unfortunately, it was regularly ignored by the Biden administration and continues to be ignored by liberal judges and universities.

Of course, the appointments Donald Trump has made and is fighting to get confirmed are all committed to this reiteration of first principles. God created us male and female. Our founders were committed to free speech, even when it was terrible speech. Without free speech, how else can truth prevail?

Protecting Our Sovereignty

What does America First mean? It means putting the interests of our country and our people first. That’s why Donald Trump just pulled us out of the World Health Organization (WHO).

The WHO has been carrying water for communist China. It was complicit in the pandemic assault on our liberty that took place several years ago. We pay more to support the WHO than anybody else, and it did less for us than anybody else.

Standing With Our Troops

Joe Biden abandoned our troops at Abbey Gate. He left them to the wolves when he chose to trust the Taliban with security in Kabul. Donald Trump will never do that.

But under the radical secularist Biden administration, American troops who cited religious objections to the COVID vaccine not only had their faith disrespected, they were kicked out of the military – in the middle of a recruiting crisis. President Trump is reinstating them with full back pay.

Perhaps the most incompetent military commander who was most obsessed with divisive DEI programs was Admiral Linda Fagan, commandant of the Coast Guard. She has spent two years letting the Coast Guard sink further and further behind in fulfilling its responsibilities as she pushed the left’s radical agenda. She was the first to get the ax yesterday.

Standing With Israel

There was a very moving moment during President Trump’s remarks at the Capital One Arena following his inaugural address. Several families of American and Israeli hostages held by Hamas were invited onto the stage. The president and first lady greeted every one of them.

Freed from political restraints, some of the families are making it clear that without Donald Trump’s influence, none of the hostages would be coming home.

Jonathan Dekel-Chen, whose son (an American citizen) is still being held by Hamas, said, “We are extremely grateful for Trump’s team getting us this far.”

Doron Steinbrecher was one of the hostages freed over the weekend. In a statement, her family expressed their “gratitude to President Trump for his significant involvement and support, which meant so much to us.”

During his confirmation hearing, Marco Rubio declared, “I’m confident in saying that President Trump’s administration will continue to be perhaps the most pro-Israel administration in American history.”

I look forward to working with Secretary of State Rubio to rebuild and strengthen America’s alliance with Israel.

The Fake News Media

Well, that didn’t take long. The fake news media has already given us the first hoax of the second Trump administration.

CNN and other leftist media outlets are peddling the lie that Elon Musk gave a Nazi salute at yesterday’s post-inaugural rally at the Capital One Arena. It’s a total lie, just like the disgusting lie that Donald Trump praised neo-Nazis in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Speaking to the crowd in the packed arena, Musk touched his heart and then extended his arm to the audience, saying, “Thank you. My heart goes out to you. It is thanks to you that the future of civilization is assured, thanks to you.”

What will it take for the media to learn that the vicious “Nazi” and “fascist” smears of conservatives, and particularly Trump and his team, are unacceptable? In fact, the lies are turning people off and turning them into Trump supporters!
