Biden On The Brink
While we have focused on the Democrat National Convention in Chicago this week, there is an alarming new report that deserves much more attention than it has received so far.
According to the New York Times, the Biden administration made a radical change in America’s nuclear posture earlier this year. Instead of focusing on a nuclear threat primarily from Russia, the new strategy places a heavy emphasis on the dangers from communist China. But China isn’t the only threat.
Defense officials now fear that the United States faces the growing risk of combined nuclear threats from Russia, communist China, and North Korea. In other words, three and half years of Joe Biden has taken us to the brink of nuclear war.
One senior defense official said that the new strategy is designed “to deter Russia, [China], and North Korea simultaneously” and to ensure that we are “prepared to respond to nuclear crises that break out simultaneously or sequentially, with a combination of nuclear and nonnuclear weapons.” (See next item.)
But one line in the Times report jumped out at me, and I’m shocked it got past their editors. Here it is:
“The new document is a stark reminder that whoever is sworn in next January 20 will confront a changed and far more volatile nuclear landscape than the one that existed just three years ago.”
What was so different three years ago that resulted in a “far more volatile nuclear landscape” today?
Well, we had strength in the White House four years ago. And three years ago, the Biden/Harris administration demonstrated their weakness with their disastrous retreat from Afghanistan, weakness they have continued to demonstrate every day since.
Sadly, the left only seems concerned about two things: ensuring that the number of abortions doesn’t go down and ensuring there are tampons in boys’ bathrooms.
But there is a real world out there. And the dangers are growing with every passing hour.
Left-wing Lunacy
Elections have consequences. It’s a phrase I’m sure you have heard many times. Now, here’s a glaring example of those consequences, as well as proof of another phrase, personnel is policy. I linked to it in yesterday’s report, but it deserves further explanation in view of the previous item.
The Biden/Harris administration has appointed Sneha Nair to serve as a special assistant at the National Nuclear Security Administration in the Department of Energy. If you think she’s working to keep America safe by ensuring we have a robust nuclear deterrent, think again.
Nair is a “diversity, equity, and inclusion” (DEI) zealot, and she is obsessed with eliminating “white supremacy” in the nuclear field.
Of course, any kind of racial supremacy is always wrong and should not be tolerated. And I don’t see any sign that white supremacy is a big problem among nuclear scientists and military officers. But Nair seems convinced that the KKK is about to “go nuclear.” Here’s what she wrote about the issue:
“Diversifying the perspectives included in nuclear security decision-making can expand the definition of who or what constitutes a ‘threat’ for nuclear security. The notion of ‘threat’ and ‘security’ are defined by the dominant culture [white people], which inherently sidelines how marginalized groups . . . perceive ‘threats.’”
“An example of this is the threat posed by some White supremacist groups to nuclear facilities may go undetected if a White-majority workforce does not perceive these ideological leanings as indicators of a relevant nuclear security threat. . . integrating DEI into nuclear security culture can help reimagine how each state’s nuclear security regime understands ‘threat’ to ensure a comprehensive assessment of the security risks facing a facility.”
If I understand this gobbledygook correctly, it seems Nair is suggesting that a “comprehensive” understanding of security risks must absolutely assume white supremacy is an immediate threat and that a majority of white workers can’t identify blatant racism when they see it.
So, the solution is ideological brainwashing and a majority-minority workforce. I think that’s what she is getting at. But Nair doesn’t stop there.
Beyond Insane
Nair’s other obsession involves the “queering” of our nuclear arsenal. Seriously. You can’t make this stuff up!
The main point of “queering” our nuclear arsenal seems to be eliminating it and leaving us to the tender mercies of communist China, Iran, North Korea, and Russia. Here’s her explanation for “queering” our nuclear weapons:
“Queer theory is a field of study, closely related to feminist theory, that examines sex- and gender-based norms. It shines a light on the harm done by nuclear weapons through uranium mining, nuclear tests, and the tax money spent on nuclear weapons. . .
“The queer lens prioritizes the rights and well-being of people over the abstract idea of national security, and it challenges the mainstream understanding of nuclear weapons -- questioning whether they truly deter nuclear war, stabilize geopolitics, and reduce the likelihood of conventional war. . .
“Queer theory is also about rejecting binary choices and zero-sum thinking, such as the tenet that nuclear deterrence creates security and disarmament creates vulnerability. . . Indeed, queer theory helps us not only see the bad of a world with nuclear weapons, but also imagine the good of a world without them.”
I will say something I seldom say: Words fail me.
Early Tip To Big Banks?
We told you yesterday about the shocking news that the Biden/Harris economy created 818,000 fewer jobs than had been previously reported. Well, there’s more to this story.
The Labor Department jobs report was scheduled to be released at 10:00 am ET. But it was not publicly released until 10:34. Yet, somehow, three big banks did get this critically important information before anyone else.
Let’s assume this is just bureaucratic incompetence and not the deliberate manipulation of data in an election year. They can’t get a report out on time, but they want to control our healthcare, reengineer our energy supply, and fix food prices.
Worse than that, they violated one of the essential rules of handling these official federal figures – no one gets them in advance because the information could be used for financial gain. The markets were already open, so who knows what the power brokers at the big banks were able to do with that information nobody else had.
A Major Announcement
Rumors are hot that Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., will announce tomorrow afternoon that he is dropping out of the presidential race. Moreover, there are increasing signs suggesting he will endorse Donald Trump.
While Trump and Kennedy certainly have some big differences, they also share concerns on some fundamental issues, such as the weaponization of government to punish political opponents, the increasing authoritarianism of the left, and the actions of the Deep State, which he believes played a role in the death of his uncle.
