Hamas Hits The Hill
A pro-Hamas mob swarmed Capitol Hill this afternoon. Demonstrators are reportedly occupying the rotunda of the Cannon House Office Building.
I’m sure Democrats will quickly declare this an “insurrection” and demand that the trespassers be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. (That’s sarcasm, just in case you couldn’t tell.)
Biden’s Foreign Fiascos
Joe Biden served four years as chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and has often presented himself as some kind of foreign policy “genius.” In fact, Biden’s “extensive foreign policy experience” was the main reason why Barack Obama chose Biden as his running mate in 2008.
But Robert Gates, Obama’s defense secretary, tried to warn us. Gates said that Biden’s “been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades.”
Clearly, Gates recognized the truth that Obama missed. Just look at the world around us. The Biden foreign policy fiascos are piling up fast!
Joe Biden surrendered to the Taliban.
He allowed a communist Chinese spy balloon to fly over our country.
He opened our borders to criminals, gangs, deadly drugs and potential terrorists.
He drained half of our strategic petroleum reserve for partisan political reasons.
Europe is in the middle of its first major war in nearly 80 years.
Israel is in the middle of its worst war in 50 years.
This morning, we woke up to the news that the U.S. embassy in Lebanon was set on fire and is being partially evacuated. Iranian-backed militias marched on the U.S. embassy in Iraq. The Israeli embassy in Jordan was attacked.
A synagogue in Berlin was firebombed. Eight airports in France were locked down after credible bomb threats.
Vladimir Putin is in Beijing meeting with Premier Xi. Iran, which Joe Biden has given billions of dollars, is now threatening America.
A summit between Joe Biden, the king of Jordan, the president of Egypt and the president of the Palestinian Authority was abruptly canceled.
Foreign policy and defense experts are now asking, “Can we fight a war in Europe, a war in the Middle East and a war off the coast of China all at the same time?” Not surprisingly, there’s growing speculation that the Biden Administration may restart the military draft.
Oh, for the days of the Trump presidency when none of this was happening and the only thing we had to worry about was a few irritating tweets!
Biden’s Hostage Crisis: Day 11
Thirty Americans were killed in Israel on October 7th. More than a dozen are reported missing, likely being held as hostages by Hamas in Gaza.
There has not been one word from the Biden White House about Iran and Hamas paying a price for killing and kidnapping our fellow citizens.
But Biden did announce a $100 million “aid package” to Gaza. Sounds like another ransom to terrorists.
“The Other Team”
Yesterday, the Muslim world erupted in fits of rage when media outlets everywhere accused Israel of bombing a hospital in Gaza and killing hundreds of people. It’s another outrageous example of media malfeasance and the left’s instinct to “blame Israel first.”
The media has been eager to turn the narrative against Israel, and they thought they had it with this hospital story, so they gleefully ran with it.
So did anti-American members of Congress, like Representatives Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib. They blasted that lie out to their massive followings on social media, and directly contributed to the anti-Semitic violence we’re seeing.
It wasn’t long before Israel disputed the reports and the IDF released evidence indicating that a failed rocket launch by Palestinian Islamic Jihad destroyed the hospital. U.S. intelligence also supports Israel’s position.
In Israel today, Joe Biden did his best, such as it was, to express his support for Israel and to push back against the false media reports regarding the hospital attack.
At a meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu, Biden said, “It appears as though it [the attack on the hospital] was done by the other team, not you. But there’s a lot of people out there who are not sure. So, we’ve got to overcome a lot of things.”
“Other team”? This isn’t a football game!
If Donald Trump said that, reporters would be setting their hair on fire, claiming, “He doesn’t even know the names of the groups involved in the conflict!”
Sadly, that wasn’t the end of it. Yet again, our enfeebled president seemingly lost his train of thought and appeared tired and weak at the worst possible time.
Support Or Pressure?
In spite of Biden’s public posture, it’s clear his administration is holding Israel back. Why do I say that? Just consider the comments yesterday by White House lackey John Kirby.
Speaking to reporters on Air Force One, Kirby said Joe Biden was going to Israel with “tough questions” for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. What does that mean? That sounds more like pressure than support.
Kirby also made this asinine statement, “The proper number of civilian casualties in a conflict like this is zero.”
How could a former top naval officer make such a ludicrous statement? There’s never been a conflict in human history where civilian casualties were zero!
Barbarians Inside The Gates
Nearly 200 people were kidnapped by Hamas. Some were paraded through the streets of Gaza, many of them women and children. We know some were sexually assaulted. Whose heart doesn’t break when thinking of the hell these hostages and their families must be going through now?
Fliers of the hostages have been circulated and they’re being displayed in various locations around the world urging people to pray for them and to not forget about them.
Sadly, I have seen multiple videos of people tearing down the fliers of the kidnapped Israelis and ripping them up with the same fervor that Pelosi ripped up Trump’s State of the Union address.
But here’s the kicker. The videos aren’t from Baghdad, Riyadh, or Tehran. The videos of unbridled Jew-hatred are coming out of New York City, from the campus of Columbia University, from Paris, France, and Melbourne, Australia.
Who are these people living among us that are so enraged by pictures of Israeli hostages? How did the West allow this to happen?
By the way, another video is also making the rounds. It features a group of little children singing a song and pledging their willingness to die for Iran’s supreme leader. Well, that’s not terribly surprising. It happens all the time in the Middle East.
But what is shocking is that this video didn’t come from the Middle East. It was recorded in Houston, Texas, outside the Islamic Education Center of Houston.
A Little Haley History
As I told you yesterday, I was more than a little irritated that Nikki Haley signaled over the weekend that she might be open to bringing in refugees from Gaza. She suggested that we can somehow “separate the civilians from the terrorists.”
After a dustup with the DeSantis campaign, Haley is trying to clarify her remarks and now insists that Palestinian refugees must stay in Gaza. Well, that’s some progress.
But I decided to go back and double check the record.
When Donald Trump first proposed the idea of a pause on immigration from countries infested with Islamic extremism, Haley blasted the idea as “absolutely un-American,” “unconstitutional,” “wrong” and “an embarrassment to the Republican Party.”
She was wrong on all counts. It’s un-American to fail to protect the country from obvious threats. The Supreme Court upheld Trump’s policy. And most Americans liked the idea.
Still No Speaker
Sadly, 22 RINOs (named here) refused to back Jim Jordan for speaker today.
I guess they must be listening to Nancy Pelosi, who said the idea of “Speaker Jim Jordan” was “appalling.” They’re clearly not listening to conservative grassroots voters in their districts.
ACTION ITEM: Call your representative now at 202-224-3121, and tell them to unite behind Jim Jordan!
Defending Faith, Family and Freedom
In this week’s “Defending Faith, Family and Freedom” podcast for the James Dobson Family Institute, I explain the biblical basis for our support of Israel. I also get a report from the ground in Israel from Tom Rose, former editor of the Jerusalem Post and a top foreign policy advisor in the Trump White House.
Rose explains how this atrocity is vastly different from previous Hamas attacks, noting that it was equivalent to 45,000 American deaths, or 15 times our losses on 9/11.
