Trump & Pence
Former Vice President Mike Pence was interviewed by Sean Hannity this week. When asked about his relationship with President Trump, Pence said, "We parted amicably, and we've talked a number of times since we both left office."
But then the vice president went on to make an important point about the January 6th Commission and the left-wing media. He said:
"I know the media wants to distract from the Biden Administration's failed agenda by focusing on one day in January. They want to use that one day to demean the character and intentions of 74 million Americans who believed we could be strong again and prosperous again."
Mike Pence is absolutely right. Nancy Pelosi's January 6th Commission is a total sham. The FBI has already said there was no "insurrection." This commission is about smearing conservatives generally and Donald Trump specifically.
Former President Trump was clearly pleased with Pence's interview. Trump said:
"Vice President Mike Pence's statement during his interview with the great Sean Hannity very much destroys and discredits the Unselect Committee's witch hunt on the events of January 6th. It will continue, however, because the Fake News doesn't want to focus on Afghanistan, Russia, Taiwan and China, the Border, inflation and a failing economy."
The Backlash Builds
Outrage is spreading across the country over the heavy-handed effort by President Biden and Attorney General Merrick Garland to intimidate parents and taxpayers who are demanding reform of our schools.
America's universities have been dominated by radical leftists for decades. Now even our elementary schools are being turned into indoctrination centers. They are literally teaching your children anti-America history.
Today's youth have the lowest levels of patriotism than any generation in history. Why? Because our children are taught in our schools to hate America's founding and our heroes.
Recently, leftist educational elites have abandoned Martin Luther King's dream of racial reconciliation. Instead, they're teaching Marxist critical race theory. They're telling all minority children they are oppressed and can't succeed, and they're telling all white children they are oppressors.
They are teaching racism in the classroom instead of racial reconciliation. This is criminal, and it will destroy our country.
But now Biden and Garland insist that if you are upset about this garbage in our schools, if you speak out against it and demand accountability, you are the criminal, quite possibly a "domestic terrorist."
Well, the American people aren't having it.
Outraged parental rights organizations and school choice groups issued statements blasting the Biden Administration's totalitarian impulses. Sen. Josh Hawley confronted a top Justice Department official yesterday for attempting to silence free speech, saying:
"If this isn't a deliberate attempt to chill parents from showing up at school board meetings for their elected school boards, I don't know what is. I'm not aware of anything like this in American history. . . You're using the FBI to intervene in school board meetings!"
This is an attempt to strike fear in the hearts of anyone who opposes the socialist remaking of America. Hitler, Stalin and Mao would be proud of Joe Biden and Merrick Garland.
Let me repeat this again: Men and women of faith cannot be idle bystanders in America's culture war. We must pray as if everything depends on God, and we must act as if everything depends on us.
Find out what groups in your community are fighting this poison in our schools and lend them your time and voice. Go to your local school board meetings. You have the right of free speech, free assembly and to petition your government. Nobody has the power to take that away from you! Not Merrick Garland, not Kamala Harris and not Joe Biden.
MLB Goes CCP
Major League Baseball just threw a curveball at the heads of the hard-working men and women in Caledonia, Minnesota. They're shutting down a factory that produces MLB merchandise and sending it communist China.
Remember, this is the same MLB that punished the people of Georgia for tweaking their voting laws. I'm sure MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred will sternly lecture President Xi Jinping about election fairness the next time he is reelected with 100% of the vote. But I'm not holding my breath.
Just like the NBA, the MLB wants to be more "woke." But it's decidedly unwoke when it comes to dealing with communists and slave labor concentration camps. Apparently, they're okay making their products with cotton produced by slaves so they can further enrich themselves, and maybe one day see MLB teams competing in communist China.
We all rail against the low levels of patriotism among America's youth and the anti-Americanism that is spouted by leftists in our classrooms. But corporate America, from Disney to Nike, and the sports world, from the MLB to the NBA, regularly demonstrate that their level of patriotic fervor for America and loyalty to their fellow American workers is exactly zero when it comes to enriching themselves.
Free For Now
I can only imagine what kind of outrage the Pentagon has been hearing from military families all over America about the failed leadership that produced the debacle in Afghanistan.
Our three and four star generals all have big book deals and consulting contracts waiting for them when they retire. Not one of them is being held accountable. But one soldier with everything to lose, Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller, dared to speak up and give voice to millions of angry and outraged Americans. And he was thrown into the brig.
I'm pleased to report that Scheller was released yesterday, but the process is far from over. Biden, Austin and Milley are determined to ruin him. Scheller offered to resign, but he's facing a court-martial on four charges.
Sadly, this kind of left-wing activity that is increasingly evident in our military is going to alienate the very families most inclined to encourage their sons and daughters to join the military of the United States.
If the Pentagon has a plan showing we can defeat communist China with brigades of atheist transgenders, radical feminists and Millennial wokesters, I'd like to see it!
More Biden Remorse
The latest Gallup poll must have Biden, Schumer and Pelosi reaching for the Maalox. Independent voters, repulsed by Biden's radical lurch to the left, are fleeing the Democrat Party.
Only 35% of independent voters now have a favorable view of the Democrat Party. That's down 13 points since January! Biden won independent voters by 13 points last November.
That's not the only problem Democrats have. They have taken huge hits on two critical issues – national security and economic prosperity.
When asked which party can do a better job of keeping the country safe, Americans chose the GOP over the Democrat Party by a margin of 54% to 39%. Asked which party will do a better job of keeping the country prosperous, Americans chose the GOP by a margin of 50% to 41%.
In related news, the latest Quinnipiac poll is surely setting off alarm bells at the Democrat National Committee. Not only has Biden's approval rating cratered to 38%, registered voters now prefer Republican control of Congress.
If congressional elections were held today, 47% of voters said they would vote for Republican candidates, while 44% said they would back Democrat candidates. The poll found a 7-point swing against congressional Democrats just in the past month alone.
These "generic ballot" questions tend to underestimate GOP strength on Election Day. As Breitbart News notes, the last time the GOP hit 47% in Quinnipiac's generic ballot poll was December 2013. Republicans won more than a dozen House seats the following year.
