Obama's Modern Military, Out-Of-Touch On Trade, Floundering Foreign Policy |
Obama's Modern Military Pastor Brad Whitt of Abilene Baptist Church in Augusta, Georgia, is in shock. For the first time in 20 years, the U.S. Army is refusing to provide an honor guard from nearby Fort Gordon for the church's annual Independence Day celebration. Why? Because of a 2011 regulation imposed by the Obama Administration declaring that the Army cannot participate in any event "involving the promotion, endorsement or sponsorship of a religious movement." |
Jerusalem Reality Check, What Are Children Singing, Still No Strategy |
Jerusalem Reality Check The Supreme Court issued a disappointing decision yesterday. Six justices ruled that Congress could not require the State Department to issue passports for Americans born in Jerusalem with "Israel" listed as their place of birth. That Jerusalem is in Israel might seem obvious enough, but the Obama Administration fought the law. Sadly, six justices declared that the law was a violation of the president's authority to recognize nations. Writing for the court's majority, Justice Anthony Kennedy declared: |
Big Government Incompetence, More Women Choose Life, Obama Amnesty Plan Stopped |

China Hacks Fed Data, 2016 Update, Socialism In The Sun, D-Day |
China Hacks Fed Data Washington is buzzing with the news that Chinese hackers breached databases at the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and accessed the personal information of millions of government employees. According to CNN, workers in "nearly every government agency" are affected. The Washington Post reports that this latest cyberattack was the second time in the less than a year that Chinese hackers have attacked OPM. One former FBI cyber official warned: |
The Enemy Within, Rove’s Advice, Pro-Life America |
The Enemy Within A lot of ink has been spilled lately with stories about NSA and FBI spying tactics. But let's not forget why we are having this debate: There are evil people around the world, and increasingly around the country, who are plotting to kill us. Francis Taylor, undersecretary of intelligence and analysis at the Department of Homeland Security, said this week that 180 Americans have joined ISIS. The FBI director recently acknowledged that his agency is monitoring ISIS recruitment efforts in all 50 states. |
Obama Bashes Bibi, Boston Beheading Plot, The Big Jenner News, Media Exploit Duggar Scandal |
Obama Bashes Bibi As we noted in yesterday's report, President Obama recently addressed members of the Adas Israel Congregation in Washington, D.C., and he sat down for interviews with Israeli media. This is all part of an orchestrated charm offensive in advance of the June 30th deadline for a nuclear deal with Iran and the subsequent vote in Congress. |
He Said What, The Ferguson Effect, Terrible Security Agency, Stumbling Frontrunners |
He Said What?! As the calendar counts down to the June 30th deadline for President Obama to negotiate a nuclear deal with Iran, the president is once again making it painfully obvious just how desperate he is to add this notch to his belt. During an interview with an Israeli TV channel, the president said the following: |
Paul vs. The Patriot Act, 2016 Update, Great To Be King, Beau Biden |
Paul vs. The Patriot Act Significant portions of the Patriot Act, passed in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, expired last night. Unable to overcome objections by Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, the Senate was forced into a rare Sundaysession. The Senate voted 77-to-17 to begin debate on legislation that ends the collection of bulk phone data by the National Security Agency, but permits the government to request the data from telephone companies when needed. |
US Troops "Over-Regulated and Constrained", Join Me in July |
General Hayden: U.S. Troops In Iraq "Over-Regulated And Constrained" High-level government officials tend to avoid commenting on politics after they leave their posts. That's especially true for high-ranking members of the military who serve in presidential administrations. But several top Obama administration officials have criticized the president after leaving government. The latest is Air Force four-star general Michael Hayden, who was director of the Central Intelligence Agency under President Bush and then, for a short time, under President Obama. |
Obama vs. The Courts, Rational Ayatollah Hypothesis, Texas Floods |
Obama vs. The Courts After yesterday's ruling by a federal appeals court striking a blow against President Obama's immigration amnesty plans, the Washington Post noticed that much of Obama's agenda is being challenged in the courts. Citing Obamacare, climate change and other issues, the Post writes that "Obama's legacy is increasingly in legal jeopardy." |
