She's Back!

Hillary Clinton emerged from the woods last night to deliver what some described as "her first major post-election speech." As might be expected, her remarks to the Professional Businesswomen of California sounded like so much of the angry feminism that has come to dominate the left.

Clinton attacked the Trump cabinet for having too few women. She attacked White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer for pushing back against an overly aggressive left-wing, female journalist. She attack Bill O'Reilly who joked about Maxine Waters' hair. (He later apologized.) Clinton urged her audience to "Resist, insist, persist, enlist." (Why does the left always rhyme its inanities?)

Some commentators have noted, however, that unlike her daughter, Chelsea, Hillary did not come to Kellyanne Conway's defense when a Democrat congressman made a crude, sexist joke about her.

Hillary has warned us that she intends to increase her public profile in the coming weeks. We should not prematurely conclude that 2016 was her last chance. She remains very combative and apparently hungry for the Oval Office.

Even though the election is over, conservatives can't stop paying attention. Just look at the landscape. The left did not go away. The left did not take a timeout for introspective reflection.

Quite the opposite. It is doubling down on its radicalism. It is filibustering Judge Gorsuch. It is determined to undermine the administration. And left-wing groups are raising record amounts of money.

My friends, let me paraphrase Mrs. Clinton:

Are you prepared to RESIST the left?

Are you prepared to INSIST that our laws are enforced, that our values are respected?

Are you prepared to PERSIST in this fight, no matter what?

Are you prepared to ENLIST in our efforts to defend faith, family and freedom?

We must fight back!

Creepy In California

The undercover work of the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) is back in the headlines today. As you may recall, CMP is the group that exposed Planned Parenthood's trafficking in aborted baby body parts.

Their latest video exposes a California abortionist who thinks it is "creepy" that people refer to the baby as "Baby this, baby that, baby so-and-so. . . I'm like, that's creepy!" Well, that's what it is -- a baby.

In the video, the abortionist thinks she is talking to medical researchers who want an intact body in order to harvest organs.

What is "creepy" is that anyone can perform late-term abortions and be so callous about the babies who are born alive. Yes, that's right.

When asked what standards the abortionist uses to "verify signs of life" when delivering an intact "fetus" after a late-term abortion, she replies, "The key is, you need to pay attention to who's in the room, right? It's a mess. It's a mess."

The clear implication is that this so-called "doctor" has no standards and is most likely violating the law. Yesterday, California's top law enforcement officials took action. They filed 15 felony charges against . . . the undercover CMP journalists.

This is a total perversion of our legal system!

Left-wing politicians routinely turn a blind eye to the inevitable crimes that occur as a result of their sanctuary city policies. And California's law against the private recording of individuals has never been enforced against journalists.

Once again, we are seeing just how intolerant the left truly is. The left will excuse away the murder of American citizens in order to defend open borders. It will turn a blind eye to the deaths of innocent babies that survive late-term abortions in order to defend "choice."

But the left has zero tolerance for the First Amendment when it comes to exposing Planned Parenthood's disgusting business model of trafficking in aborted baby body parts.

Farkas Fracas

Rep. Devin Nunes, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, is under increasing pressure to step down ever since he announced that new information corroborated the president's allegation that the Obama Administration had monitored the Trump transition team.

Anyone who wants to argue the facts should just review the tape. Watch this interview from March 2nd. Former Obama official Evelyn Farkas admits that the Obama Administration monitored Trump staff members.

She also admits that she was "urging my former colleagues" and "Hill people" to "get as much information as you can -- get as much intelligence as you can -- before President Obama leaves the administration." In other words, she admits that she encouraged people to expose classified information.

Farkas adds that her former colleagues were "trying to get information to the Hill" -- meaning left-wing politicians -- and she says, "And that's why you have the leaking." In other words, the exposure of classified information by Obama loyalists within the government is their way of communicating with partisan hacks in Congress.

Yet the media want to make Chairman Nunes the issue.

Kudos To Gen. Townsend

Lt. Gen. Stephen Townsend, commander of coalition forces in Iraq, held a press conference yesterday regarding the controversial military campaign to liberate Mosul from Islamic State jihadists. He suffered through about 45 minutes of nonsense questions when he finally put the left-wing reporters in their place. Here's what he said:

"[It's] a little disappointing to me that all the questions were about our airstrikes, and our process, and our decisions. If these innocents were killed by the coalition, it was an unintentional accident of war, and ISIS is slaughtering Iraqis and Syrians on a daily basis.

"ISIS is cutting off heads. ISIS is shooting people, throwing people from buildings, burning them alive in cages and they are making the video record to prove it. This has got to stop. This evil has got to be stamped out. And in my mind . . . the moral responsibility for civilian deaths in Iraq and Syria belongs to ISIS. I'll close with that."
