The Left Attacks Citizenship

 
Yesterday we noted that the Trump Administration is planning to ask individuals filling out the 2020 census form whether they are citizens.  The question is not asking whether the individual is an illegal immigrant, and that is an important point. 
 
Millions of non-citizens are in the country legally.  They are called legal permanent residents.  Nevertheless, the left has set its hair on fire over the issue.
 
At least 12 states, almost all dominated by the left, are suing the administration in an attempt to stop it from finding out how many citizens and non-citizens are living in America. 
 
Incredibly, the Islamist group CAIR blasted the question as "another political move by the Trump administration to implement its white supremacist agenda."
 
That, my friends, is a good example of just how insane the left is.  When did American citizenship become part of the "white supremacist agenda?"
 
So just to be clear, the left does not want us to have borders secure enough to know when someone has entered our country.  Now the left wants to make it impossible to find out after they have entered the country just how many of them there are.
 
Is there one logical reason why progressives want the American people to be ignorant regarding the makeup of our population? 
 
On virtually every other issue, the left demands that we determine public policy by dividing us based on race, ethnicity, socioeconomics and sexual orientation.  It takes that position supposedly because diversity is such an important value. 
 
 
 
Sanctuary Showdown
 
As left-wing states are joining California in suing the Trump Administration against all reasonable efforts to control illegal immigration, some jurisdictions within California are joining the Trump Administration and resisting the left's open borders agenda.
 
The Orange County Board of Supervisors voted 4-to-0 to support the Trump Administration lawsuit against California and the whole concept of sanctuary states.  Kudos to Supervisors Bartlett, Nelson, Spitzer and Steel. 
 
I know from my own experience fighting the left what is happening to those commissioners today.  You would be shocked if you could see their emails and listen to the phone calls they are likely receiving.  We should pray for them and their safety. 
 
Meanwhile, Orange County Sheriff Sandra Hutchens announced that her department would start posting the names and release dates of inmates online.  Obviously if ICE agents go to the sheriff's website, they can match names against their own list of wanted criminals and can wait in the parking lot to pick these people up. 
 
Believe it or not, California's far-left attorney general is threatening to arrest her. 
 
Wouldn't it be wonderful if the left wanted to regulate abortion and our borders as much as it wants to regulate guns?
 
 
 
The Left's Radical Agenda
 
I saw a story yesterday that was just so crazy I assumed it was a hoax or a mistake.  A Planned Parenthood affiliate in Pennsylvania tweeted the following advice to Disney:
 
"We need a Disney princess who's had an abortion.
"We need a Disney princess who's pro-choice.
"We need a Disney princess who's an undocumented immigrant. . .
"We need a Disney princess who's trans."
 
When the tweet was quickly deleted, I figured someone had hacked their Twitter account and was making fun of the left's obsession with identity politics.  But, this wasn't a joke.
 
The tweet was real, and the only reason it was taken down was because it exposed the left's insanity, including its desire to indoctrinate our kids with the insane idea that abortion shouldn't just be tolerated, but celebrated. 
 
 
 
It Can Happen
 
Yesterday we told you about former Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens calling for the repeal of the Second Amendment.  A number of people have said to me, "There is no way the Second Amendment is going to be repealed."  Really?
 
I remember growing up when good people said, "They will never take prayer out of the schools. The country would never stand for it."
 
I recall my father saying, "If someone doesn't stand up for the Pledge, they would be run out of town."
 
About ten years ago, I recall pastors who told me to calm down about the idea of "men marrying other men." 
 
More recently, we all thought it was crazy that men would be allowed to use women's restrooms.
 
My friends, it CAN happen. 
 
Think about this:  In 2016, we came very close to seeing our right to bear arms and religious liberty eroded significantly.
 
If Hillary Clinton had received 77,000 more votes in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, she would be president today.  The Supreme Court vacancy left by Antonin Scalia's death would not have been filled by Neil Gorsuch but by another left-wing activist like Ruth Bader Ginsburg. 
 
As I noted yesterday, the 2008 Heller decision, written by Justice Scalia, upholding the Second Amendment right to own a firearm was a 5-to-4 decision.  Just one vote on the Supreme Court is all it would take to gut the Second Amendment.
 
 
 
Korean Breakthrough
 
President Trump's tough stands are producing results. 
 
After imposing tariffs to prove he was serious about trade, South Korea has agreed to open its markets to more U.S. cars and trucks. 
 
In addition, there are reports from Beijing that North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un has agreed to the "denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula." 
 
The North Korean regime can't be trusted.  But this is a major statement, especially coming from the Chinese.  President Trump hailed the news, but he also made it clear that "maximum sanctions and pressure" would be maintained until there was real progress.
 
Big Media should invite all those left-wing talking heads like Bill Richardson, Madeline Albright and Ben Rhodes back on.  Not that long ago, they were telling us that Trump's tough rhetoric was going to get us into a war. 
 
Well, it looks like Trump is making more progress than they ever did.
