Honoring Justice Kavanaugh

Last night's White House swearing-in ceremony for Justice Brett Kavanaugh was an extraordinary event.  The atmosphere was electric.  People were hugging and high-fiving one another as a scowling press corps looked on.

The room erupted in applause when Justice Kavanaugh came in.  I am pleased to report that his family looked relieved and restored.  I made a point of going over to his daughters to let them know that they have a great dad.  So too did President Trump during his remarks.

Kavanaugh made it clear that he and his family would not have gotten through that brutal process without the strength of their faith and the prayers and notes from believers all across America.

At a reception following the swearing-in, I spoke with many White House officials who were central players in the confirmation process.  At one point, we all heard a boisterous laugh.  It was Justice Clarence Thomas.

He looked over and saw me, and burst through the crowd giving me a big bear hug.  We reminisced about what the same left-wing crowd tried to do to him so many years ago.

It was a fantastic evening.  I wish all of you could have been there!  If you missed it, you can watch it here.

Fighting For Justice

During his remarks, Justice Kavanaugh thanked President Trump for his "steadfast, unwavering support."  That is a huge issue, my friends.  I'm not sure other recent presidents would have had the courage to fight it out.

That speaks volumes about the grassroots frustration with many politicians these days and why so many voters were attracted to Donald Trump.  Without Trump, I don't know that we would have been celebrating last night.

Contrary to every establishment instinct in this town, President Trump called out the left for what it did to Brett Kavanaugh and his family.  He said:

"I would like to begin tonight's proceeding differently than perhaps any other event of such magnitude.  On behalf of our nation, I want to apologize to Brett and the entire Kavanaugh family for the terrible pain and suffering you have been forced to endure.

"Those who step forward to serve our country deserve a fair and dignified evaluation, not a campaign of political and personal destruction based on lies and deception.  What happened to the Kavanaugh family violates every notion of fairness, decency, and due process."

I am glad the president reminded the American people that the left turned the confirmation process into a national disgrace.  Every cell of Trump's body says "Fight!" and that's exactly what we need right now.

According to the Media Research Center, nearly 90% of the recent news coverage was an attack on Kavanaugh.  But the president fought back, and Brett Kavanaugh is now a justice of the Supreme Court hearing cases today.

And guess what?  Trump's approval rating is up six points in the past month.

"Kill Kavanaugh"

A special education teacher in Minnesota has been put on paid leave after tweeting, "So whose [sic] gonna take one for the team and kill Kavanaugh?"

It is shocking to think that leftists are openly discussing the possible assassinations of Supreme Court justices.  But given the increasing violence of the left, I hope the administration is seriously examining the security provided to our justices.  At the moment, the protocols are fairly lax.

Earlier this week, Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) called out the left for the disgusting beheading video that was sent to the wife of Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO).  Scalise said, "These vicious threats have to stop.  This cannot be the new normal—there is absolutely no place for violence in our political discourse."

Incredibly, the left attacked Scalise!  One so-called "journalist" even suggested that he was "an accomplice" in his own assassination attempt.

Soros, Russia & Senate Investigations

Behind every left-wing movement, one name almost always turns up -- George Soros.  His name is popping up again, this time in connection to the Trump/Russia investigation.

The New Yorker, a left-wing media outlet, recently published an extensive report about alleged secret communications between the Trump Organization and a Russian bank.  The story is largely a rehash of old news.

But buried in the report is this nugget:  Senate liberals outsourced some of their investigative work on the Trump/Russia collusion investigation to a left-wing operative, Daniel Jones, who once worked on the Senate Intelligence Committee.  (Here and here.)

It turns out that Jones works with Fusion GPS and former British spy Christopher Steele.  And much of Jones' work is funded by -- you guessed it -- George Soros.

As you know, Fusion GPS and Steele were paid by the Clinton campaign to produce the infamous Trump/Russia dossier that the FBI used as justification to spy on the Trump campaign.

So it seems that in the early stages of the Senate investigation into Trump/Russian collusion, Senate liberals were in fact relying on the very same cast of characters who concocted the collusion narrative to begin with!

Deadlines Fast Approaching

Believe it or not, early voting for the 2018 mid-term elections is already taking place in several states.  But you can't vote unless you are registered.  And voter registration deadlines are approaching fast.

In fact, the deadline in key states such as Florida, Georgia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Texas is today!

Please make sure you and all your friends and family members are registered to vote.
